Could be five months, could be five weeks, no one knows.

That's the worst part, the no one knows one.

I've been looking around and while some claim that worst of the chip shortage is over, they provide no evidence to that. Most other sources say the opposite - it'd stabilize by the end of 2021, and some go even further suggesting it'll be Q2 of 2022 before things improve. My gut tells me the bottom is now. How long it stays there I have no clue. Having said that, it's not unrealistic to expect for immediate builds to get pushed back until inventory shortage eases up just a bit. Suppose it gets pushed back by another month and then we start crawling out of it. In that case mid/late August build with mid September delivery definitely won't work for me. I think I'm going to take a serious look at 4Runner this week. Disclaimer: I'm just speculating here.

I just got an email from my dealer and my BS in the western part of my state on a train. The tracker still shows 7/8 as the end date but it could come much earlier than that.

Hi all frustrated BS buyers Some news on my front. My status changed to in production this morning, and I have a window sticker. First change in a while. It was rescheduled awhile ago to June 14. So hopefully it goes through production without stopping. Also someone mentioned that there is not a check mark in the production circle but an inner ring. That is true of mine also. Good fortune to all.

Well, I've been in Production for over a week. The date on my window sticker has changed 3 times since the first one. Not built yet, not eta. And I've checked "ETIS" and it is not populated yet. So I'm guessing no parts yet.

So I have all my dates except for “ship date” my salesman texted last week that it has been released from the plant and is awaiting shipment? My window sticker date changed to yesterday’s date? ??‍

just checking in after ordering in DEC and receiving a 140 days later you will love the truck and the looks of envy you get and the people stopping you at traffic light sucks but it is funny the first couple of times it happens you think your getting car jacked it happens in new jersey. its worth the wait folks

It will almost guaranteed come sooner than that. I was told May 28 and it was in my driveway by the 8th of May. The dealer was just outside Detroit but that's still a big difference.

Went to an auto parts store, I was the only one there, they asked if the sport really had a bottle opener. We went outside and they took turns watching the store and taking it all in...it was hilarious.

Definitely some confliction, and is why I have a Trailhawk now.
Received my refund from the dealer today, and he said something interesting. He said they are shipping vehicles with the missing chip to the same Raceway in Kentucky as the F150s. Someone might want to pose the question to there Dealer/Salesperson, just to see if that has any validity.

Picked up the OB+OB TODAY! Ordered 4/15, built 5/31, shipped 6/5 and delivered on 6/18 to Glenview, Illinois. Only got 25 miles so far but I’m very happy.

yeah if it was built and 'shipped' with an ETA Oct 31 it must be waiting on additional chips.

Stinks that all the Badlands orders are so backed up. I’m betting people see some relief by the end of summer though. 10/31 just seems like too random of a date to pick for completion. Good luck!
