How do you cope? It's only been a week since my order was placed. I'll never make it.
Oh it was difficult, especially if you’re in a situation like I was where you were worried about financing. That’s why I jumped the gun on an Escape and regretted it after a couple of weeks because I was hearing the horror stories of people waiting 6+ months and then worrying about the resale value of my Fusion, along with the extended warranty I had on it getting refunded that I was gonna use as a down payment. Trust me it’s really hard, but in the end it was worth it and everything worked out great.

It’s an unfortunate situation that my parents had to buy my Escape (theirs got totaled in an accident that they’re still trying to recover from, which they weren’t at fault), so I had no trade in for my BS, but it worked out for everyone involved.

Im 55 and bursting just waiting for 2023 production to begin. So no worries. I think I have seen EVERY Bronco Sport review youtube. I want/need more.
Right there with ya! I visit here every day and live vicariously through those that have their Broncos. I'm counting the days until my build date of 11/28, hoping it doesn't change.

We went to see our Badlands last night. Obviously, it wasn’t ready but it still looked great! It’s Area 51 with the carbonized gray roof and it looks way better than I expected. That particular color combination really works.

The dealership is going to perform inspections, put it on a lift, test drive it and check for any issues before detailing it.

They’re going to install the Aeroskin 2 we bought free of charge.

The sales manager is going to give me a call today to let me know when it’ll be ready.

3.5 months, should hit 5K miles this week (I need to knock it off...) and I still get excited every time I get in my Bronco. The process is punishing to get from order to delivery, but the payoff is 100% worthwhile.

You think your process was punishing, I ordered 10 days after you and I'm still waiting. If only they would put the damn thing on a train!

Went back to the dealership today to test drive our Badlands after they performed all the necessary inspections. It will be detailed on Monday and available for delivery that day… hopefully!

We didn’t have an opportunity to test drive a Badlands before ordering because they didn’t have one. We took a Big Bend for a spin but it was more so to see the size and whatnot.

This is what we noticed:

It is buttery smooth. No vibration from the engine and the transmission felt like… well, nothing. It drove like a luxury vehicle.

The power feels better than my 2019 Escape Titanium AWD with the 2.0 Ecoboost. I was expecting it to feel very similar but it felt more energetic and stronger.

The B&O sound system had me worried. Some of the opinions on this forum aren’t exactly positive.

As someone who loves Hi-Fi and owns a pretty good system that wasn’t exactly cheap, I set my expectations quite low before listening to a few FLAC tracks on a USB stick.

I think the B&O system is actually pretty good. It has good power, clarity, dynamics and bass. I enjoyed listening to it and couldn’t find a single problem with it. No distortion, no lack of volume or bass.

It’s significantly better than the Sony system in my Escape.

I wonder if some orders used different parts due to supply issues?

Anyway, that’s all for now. We’ll see how everything goes over the next few months. We love our Badlands so far!

I like the B&O in my BS, but my Escape had B&O as well and it had more bass to it. Although I loved the extra oomph from the Escape, my issue was I couldn’t turn it up very loud because I have a fear of blowing out the speakers, but since the BS doesn’t have that oomph I can turn it up louder. I know I could just turn down the bass in the Escape, but I didn’t want to loose that oomph and it was also on factory settings.

I never drove a Bronco Sport or even sat in one until mine arrived at Granger. I was quite pleased as how quite it was and how smooth it drove as well. Now in all fairness that’s coming from a 2006 XLS Escape.

Good to hear it’s within arms reach now for you.

I have my Outer Banks!! ā¤ā¤
Just wanted to share my overall dealer experience with Apple Valley Ford (MN)

  • Ordered on 4/4 with signed document showing all pricing ($1k ford incentive, $2k dealer incentive) and my $500 deposit - price had increased but was never a part of conversation. Price was locked in.
  • Excellent communication throughout even through the delays during shipping
  • Arrived at 12:45 to finalize paperwork, out the door by 3:45 - they were busy for a Saturday but didn’t feel like it took 3 hours
  • Salesman handed me the keyfob immediately so I could go inspect and test drive it. Never took them back.
  • I had emailed prior about Engine Cover, Hood insulation and panel under dash on passenger side - during inspection confirmed not there and received signed paperwork that would be ordered and installed at no charge after delivery
  • During final paperwork, finance team found another $500 rebate and also secured lowest interest rate through Ford Credit offered during time - had info but waited until they presented to see if they did due diligence
  • Trade in of our Flex pricing was above expectation (sign of the times) but didn’t have to haggle and fair process
Once again it’s why we continue to order our vehicles through AVF. Worth the 1 hour drive, less headache and outclasses other local dealers. Since 1995, we counted we’ve purchased 16 vehicles through them, 3 different salesmen and never had a bad experience.

Highly recommend them if you are in the Twin Cities or other areas of Minnesota/Wisconsin

Picked up my OBX yesterday. I’m in love!! We ordered through Shults Ford in Pittsburgh. They were great, they even threw in the crossbars and installed them for us. No mark ups, honored the $1k rebate, no dealer add ons or decals. Definitely worth the wait.
