Surprise…. Look at what finally showed up after 3 months of sitting in Chicago, recall all done. Now the question is do I trade in the Bronco Sport I just bought for the one I ordered?
No idea about when it gets to the dealer, but once it’s on rail you can get the rail car number from Ford and track it that way. Search this forum for rail tracking to get the phone numbers.
Actually, I just looked it up. The one I bought is not involved in the Fuel injector recall. The one I bought was one of the last ones built the first week of November..
For now they just have a stop sell on the ones that haven’t been delivered and are sitting in storage. I figured that soon Ford would include the ones on the dealer lot, another reason I pulled the trigger and bought the one I did yesterday.
Well its official. Ford has just slapped the DO NOT DELIVER sign on my Bronco Sport sitting in Chicago. Its not to be delivered until the fuel injector recall is done which means that I won't see this car till April next year at the earliest. so I gave up on this Bronco Sport today...
And there is the rub. They definitely don’t operate in a first in first out model. I’ve seen many Bronco Sports exactly like mine get built after mine and delivered but yet mine is going on week nine in the rail yard
That’s the mystery. I really fault Ford about the lack of communication about what’s going on with our cars. Especially when identically made cars seem to get delivered in a matter of days and I’m going on week 9 since it left the plant
So mine apparently was hauled off to the Ford Explorer assembly plant there in Chicago. Had some work done in it, and now is back at the rail yard. ETA, who knows…….
So, update i heard form tne dealer today was my Bronco Sport was moved over to the Ford Explorer assembly plant down the street for some reason or another.
That’s the kicker for me to. Hard to find dealers that will honor X plan pricing. I’m thinking now I’m going to buy an Escape next week and lock in the trade in value of my car then turn around and trade it back in if and when the Bronco Sport shows up.
Seven weeks and counting, sitting at the Chicago Heights yard. No one knows why. I seriously think Ford has lost the BS in their system. This is so unsat. at this point. I just snail mailed a complaint letter to the Ford CEO. Another avenue I’m thinking of is a potential lawsuit against...
