I always found this confusing. My dealer asked me for my email address to put me on the tracker list so I can track it every step of the way. Did they not ask for your email? You shouldn't have to call the dealer to find out when they get the same tracking info as we all do. Maby I'm wrong?
For whatever reason, my dealer wants to have control of it. My sales dude forwarded me the order acceptance email from Ford (addressed to me, but emailed to them) and he called me with the build date and VIN (no email).

I'm on it. Got my first email in March and nothing since. Just wanted to call and be sure. There have been instances of the emails just not coming.

I guess that's one way to do it. Seems like extra work on their end. Different dealerships, different policies I suppose.

Now that you mention that, I'm wondering if my build date is still accurate. I've seen a few posts here where people's dates are being moved around and I haven't seen anything since my initial build date email. ?

I need some waiting room advice. I currently have an Outer Banks on order with Tow, Tech and Ford CoPilot 360 Assist+, this order keeps getting the build date pushed back. I really need a vehicle so I have started looking around and found the exact Outer Banks that I have on ordered coming to a dealership a few hours away. After putting a hold on it I find out that this particular Bronco Sport already has a hold on it. Uggh. So now I am back on the hunt, the same dealership has a badlands with only the premium package for no markup and so the price is $350 less then my ordered version. Do I hold tight and hope my order gets built or do I upgrade to the Badlands but loose some features I ordered. Do I really need Ford CoPilot 360 Assist+? I ordered Ford CoPilot 360 Assist+ because I was told it give me universal garage door is this true? Thanks in advance for any advice.

If you really only want the 360 to get the garage door opener, there’s a thread here about using a Kia mirror with the opener built in. Pretty much a direct replacement mirror and for a reasonable price.

360 Assist+ doesn't give you the garage door opener, that's the convenience/tech/premium package it comes in. Assist+ gives you intelligent adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, and nav.

Thank you. This is what I have been reading as well. I might have been led in a different direction as I was placing the order. I like the idea of the intelligent cruise and evasive steering but do I need that? Probably not. I don't even use cruise as it is now. And as far as nav well I have my phone. I don't know... decisions, decisions. I appreciate the feedback.

I can tell you mine went from 4/25 and then each week it went all the way up to 4/4 and then week by week back down to 4/25 and now... 5/2. I am so ready to get off of this roller coaster. I am starting to get a little sick. ?

You're so close to the build date (some time next week) that it's hard to not wait that last little bit. That said, I'm all about the Badlands for the greater capabilities and larger engine.

I know, I know. I should just hang in there a little longer. Things are coming up with work and I need a vehicle now to get there. This wasn't an issue 6 months ago. The deal I have with myself is the Badlands is still in transit and might not get to the dealership until tuesday. I figure I will wait until this Friday to see if my Outer Banks gets bumped again. If it does then I go with the Badlands. I hate missing out on options I can't add later though. The Tow I can add the 360+ I can not. But also if I look at it that way, I get a bigger engine and other capabilities I can't add to the Outer Banks.

This is exactly what mine has done. I got excited because I didn't hear anything for two weeks and thought I was "locked in" for a build this week, then I got an email on Friday pushing it to next week.

I've been having similar debates. I sold my car last month because I got a great offer and being without one has made the wait even harder. I have found multiple Badlands similar to the one I ordered without the 360 Assist and I have been tempted to settle for one of those, but in the long run, I think I'd regret not waiting for what I really want.

The nav is not a necessity, but it would be so nice to have a backup for the phone nav. When we traveled to Florida last year, we went through a cell phone dead zone for about 30 minutes and the nav would have been nice to pick up during that time. The adaptation cruise will be a Godsend for my husband who tailgates way too much. And the lane centering can be a lifesaver. My kids nearly wrecked last year on a road trip because my daughter fell asleep at the wheel and headed for the guardrail. Thank God my other daughter was awake and realized what was happening before it was too late.

So, do we NEED the 360 Assist - no. We've done without it all our lives, but new technology can make a world of difference. Is it worth waiting for? I think so. I'm still trying to hold out. A couple of months is a drop in the bucket and will be over before we know it. My advice is to wait for what you really want. You'll regret settling for something else, but you won't regret the extra wait when you get everything you wanted.

My build date has been pushed back another week to May 30th. I'll get it eventually... I was at my dealer today and except for a handful of trucks their lot is empty.
