Price Protection is not a rebate. It’s not an incentive.
Ford makes the Dealership whole by adjusting their monthly parts invoice. If you buy a car at $38k that is now $41k MSRP, and your vehicle meets the eligibility requirements for Price Protection, then Ford will give that Dealer the money...
All the orders that have had the price increases are coming in and neither the dealers or Ford really know how to handle it. I bet everyone with a pre-April order will have issues (at the less than stellar dealers) until Ford cracks down or enough people get pissed.
When in doubt you can always try the Canadian version of the tracker (.ca). It told my my car was built and my car had arrived at the dealer a whole day before the US version. I don’t know why but I suspect it’s to do with cache and internet traffic.
They basically threw the keys at me. My wife and I peeled out of there so quick they had to call me back because they had forgotten to put on the temporary CA plates before we left...
Ask them for a Smart VINCENT report as soon as you have a VIN. This report will show in detail what incentives were locked when you ordered (typically a FMC manufacturer credit and financing).
It would be hard to post all of my information but I did watch all of "The Ford Video Guy" aka Tim Bartz Youtube videos on the subject many times over. I read post after post on Bronco Sport Forums, Bronco6G, Reddit, Blue Oval, etc. regarding price protection and the issues Ford buyers are...
I’m done with the waiting room!
Things got hairy the last few days negotiating the "price protection" and other incentives with my dealer but I feel like I got a good deal today and the car is perfect so far.
A few points -- No matter what they say... you are price protected on the original...
I'm going to tell the owner tomorrow, who has his name on the building, that I plan on raking their name over the coals on Bronco Sport Forum, the BS sub-Reddit, Ford's survey, and Dealer Rater because of this issue. I had thought I had this all ironed out with my salesman weeks ago but their...
@Ford Motor Company
My dealer is asking me to pay current MSRP and then they will *reimburse* me the difference between the order price and the current price after they get the adjusted invoice from Ford (45 days later...).
The total increase is over $2,800.. and now the customer is having to...
The last mile shipments probably hang around until there’s enough cars going to that specific dealership to fill a truck.
You should have ordered 7-9 Bronco Sports!
That seems to happen when there have been recent status changes.
I have found the Canadian Tracker to be more reliable and earlier with information... oddly enough.

Have you tried the United Road Delivery Receipts page? My VIN and Load Number come up when I search but I don't know what it's supposed to mean... Is it supposed to update with a "Delivered" status?
