Uniroyal Laredo AT. As the title says.
This on-road all-terrain tyre is currently on sale on Tire Rack for the equivalent (after rebate) of $102.99 each. This does seem like a suspiciously good deal, though I can find precious little information about the tyre or indeed many reviews on it, and the few I found were conflicting.
It looks pretty funky-monkey and the price is most definitely right, but I’m wary.

I don’t suppose anyone has any experience of this tyre, do they?
One of the few reviews I found was supposedly from someone with a Bronco Sport so it’d be a real stroke of luck if they were also on the forums.

From the ad, it seems to have so-so tread warranty, is not snow rated, and the UTGQ (expected wear) is pending. You live in Ohio where snow is either hit miss or a daily chore (Cleveland), I would spend a bit more for security.

If you were in a rarely snow area and easy on tires, I would take a chance.

Thanks for that.
I don’t live up near Erie, I’m south of centre so as you say snow is hit/miss, seemingly more miss than hit with each passing year. Been here for five years and it seems the amount of snow is diminishing YOY.

Also, I don’t give much credence to whether a tyre is Severe Snow Service rated, not since I watched a video on the Tyre Reviews website where a bunch of ATs were tested in the snow; two tyres that were not SSS rated outperformed a few that were 3 peak.
I think I’d just go straight to winter tyre if snow was a factor.

I think noise was the most perplexing factor here. Three reviews mention noise; one calls it quiet, one called it average for an all terrain, and one called it absolutely, inexcusably noisy, to the point where conversations could barely be held in the car. I know interpreting noise is subjective but that’s still a very broad spectrum.

I’m still on the fence.

I have had them since Nov'23. They handle good, but are noisy. Tread seems to be holding up pretty good. I have about 24000 on them and rotate every 5000 or so. Also they are decent looking.

Wow, thanks. I wasn’t expecting to encounter someone running them.
Would you consider the noise level kinda what you’d expect moving from all season to an all terrain or, and I’m quoting the negative customer review directly here, would you say…

”They are so noisy at highway speed you have to yell when having a conversation. The cars automated system cant even recognize audible prompts given. It keeps telling me to turn down the fan or roll up the windows.”

Go big or go home, I live in Elma (outside of Buffalo NY) and went with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss(245/65/17) Tracking says that they will be coming tomorrow. Not cheap but less than several recoveries

I have found them to be loudest at 30 to 40 MPH. Not a deal breaker though. Not quite as dramatic as that quote said. They are about the same as AT tires on other vehicles I've been in. I mainly bought them because I wanted a more aggressive tread for winter(even though it hasn't been harsh here for a few years), and the look. I got them for a very good price at Walmart, I think $125 or so.

If I wanted quite, I wouldn’t have bought a Sport to begin with. You might want to consider a Prius. Quiet and gets great fuel mileage
