My left turn signal makes normal blinking sound, but my right turn is now going at double speed. I thought that was usually an indication of a light being out, but I checked all and they are functioning properly. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? We'd like to investigate this horn concern on our end. Thanks!

Check the front or rear right side. In the days of incandescent (filament) bulbs, a fast blink indicated one bulb on that side was burned out. With LED bulbs being used in modern cars, I'm not sure if that is still the norm.

Also, mixing LED and filament bulbs can cause issues unless you have an LED flasher (works with both bulb types), but once again, may not be the case with modern vehicles.

lol wtf

yes this topic has been covered on here multiple times, its either a brake light out or you put leds in the brake or signal lamps back there

I had this issue with a Volvo. If you replace the hyperblinking bulb, the problem will go away. I believe the Canbus system detects a lower resistance on the bulb for some reason.

It is the right rear brake light bulb.
Put something on the brake pedal while car in in park to apply the brakes and check the brake lights.

Thanks for sharing. I'm having the exact same problem and did the usual checks to on avail. I'm going to get with my dealer next week.

I swapped out all the incandescent bulbs in the rear with LEDs when a brake light went out. The indicators on the dash do flash faster than before, but the outside lights appear to flash normally. There are resistors and whatnots available to "fix" the quicker flashing dash indicators, but I could care less about the "issue".

Mine did the exact same thing and it was also right rear brake light. The dealer replaced it. I asked them to investigate any leaks in that area and they said they didn' have tome and out would be a much longer appointment.

Did you have any rain when you noticed the double blinking? I have a theory that it's a leak somewhere in that area as mine came back on after a few dry days then went out again when it rained again.

I will be interested to see if it happens again when it starts raining hard this winter.
