If the BS wasn't made and this was the type of vehicle I wanted I would definitely look at this hornet. My last car was a very fast modified and tuned ecoboost 2.0. Before that was a dodge srt4. That thing would easily smoke my focus. I believe in dodge turbo 4's and it looks way better than a rav. I'll keep my BS though.

The Hornet "might" compete against the Escape, but not the Bronco Sport.

Before that was a dodge srt4.
I bought '05 SRT4 brand new drove for 11 years. Cam position sensor went bad once that was it. And yes fast. My son now owns it still super reliable well built car.

I think this is a better comparison (and I think this ugly fish bowl is no comparison either)

That ain't no "fish bowl", it's a genuine "California Bubble Gum Machine"! I used to own one. It was meant to have a rotary engine, but at the last minute the engine contract fell through, so they replaced it with a truck inline 6 banger. Many folks replaced the 6 banger with a small block Ford v-8. It was actually a cool car, but, wow, that was a long time ago!

Even worse, I heard it's made in Italy at the Alfa Romero plant.
I thought they all had FIAT engines because Dodge can’t build a decent small Eco motor.
FIAT : Fix It Again Tony.

Cars are cars but I'd agree, someone looking at a bronco isn't likely looking at the hornet. It seems to align with the escape segment. I suppose someone shopping broncos could decide on a Ferrari instead...😎 I mean...both have tires and a motor.

Right on. Mine was a caliber 2008. 285 hp stock. I sold to get the srt dart which never happened. This hornet looks a lot like a replacement for the caliber.

Per car and driver"The Hornet is a subcompact SUV that shares a platform and other parts with the Alfa Romeo Tonale." As far as car brands that are known for reliablity... Alfa Romeo isnt... Perfomance, amazing innovation, YES; reliablity and cheap to operate NO.
