So that 400 number isn't a hard and fast rule and you got to take into account a lot of different factors. Like are you treating it like a red-headed stepchild every second of the day? Or is it just you know every now and then? Also the tune if the tune's not spot on anything can explode but I didn't get mine up to $00 so I can't say from experience instead 300 but from talking to people that seemed to be the number not to go past was 400. But again, that was a hot hatch. This is something different But I'm still going to shoot for about 300 on stock tires with mine for what I'm doing.
And yes on stock internals from the people I was talking to and had done the bigger turbo. Also, though you got to remember that those had a different transmission. I would not want to put 400 horsepower through this transmission at all and even when I get to my 300 number I'll definitely be careful with it on this transmission.
Also our engine is actually a different version than the 2.0 that I had and my other cars so could be different but More likely it's just about the same strength. I know that some of the escapes that are around the 20/20 year had an issue where they had a slip between the cylinders that caused some issues, but what I remember when I was looking into these that had been fixed for the broncos sport. But you'd be surprised what engines can take on stock internals, especially now. Assuming that you know the tune is spot on and again it depends on how it's treated and maintained. And I will say I am pretty conservative on how I treat my cars whenever I do let loose.
