Well, I was having issues with my Ford App remote start, wouldn't start due to "conserve battery life" and getting messages that this function was not available due to "battery saver mode". The vehicle SOC was 77% so no idea WT heck was going on. Took it to the dealer and they ran it through their magic back room and stated that the these issues needed to be updated as per their scans info from the SSM, TSB and other jargon that was over my head, BTW, death by acronyms!
Anyway, I don't understand anything that I've just wrote, just wondering if this as happened to anyone else?

You may want to keep track of the SSM # along with its description and the TSB # plus its description

Not totally necessary but with having that info you’ll be better prepared to compare against new SSMs / TSBs that come along in the future

Assuming you have a 2021? 1.5L model, there’s quite a few SSMs / TSBs (and recalls) applicable to that

Depending on the date your 12V Battery was last replaced you might be needing a new battery in the relatively near future (or possibly weren’t driving enough)

Anyway sounds like the dealership brought your vehicle up-to-date

If it's a 2021, bad battery!

Has the battery been replaced with an AGM type?

Changed the battery to a AGM in the spring. How I'm I suppose to now if the vehicle is throwing codes? This occurrence is only being dealt with because I was having a issue with my app telling me the vehicle is in battery saver mode, even though it was driven lest than 18 hours ago for a duration. BTW, Ford performing this service was not free! Luckily I had bought an extended warranty given that it's a 2021 first run.

A code scanner is dirt cheap if you want to check it for codes. Or, if your Fordpass is connected, message me the VIN and I can check if it is reporting any codes.

In terms of your OP, the TCU is the modem and the GWM is the gateway module. Yes.....reprogramming these modules is one solution to a vehicle having connectivity issues. SSM and TSB are bulletins Ford sends dealers to advise them of and address known issues. SoC and voltage are two different things. There are other factors that can trigger the battery warning like the battery's capacity deteriorating over time.

2024 BS on 3rd battery. Changed factory 10/25 (2nd),12/5 3rd baterry. All AGM from Ford. 14K miles. I was totally locked out no power had to use key in FOB to get in car to pop hood. Both times car took a jump a was fine afterwards. I got extended warranty ESP as well. I think they should give you a NOCO jumper when you buy a Ford. Im sure you need a battery.

I can relate to that, my AGM replaced under warranty 18 months ago so just 1.5 hot summers and recently can see alternator has to run fairly continuously
