Is Ford still using the two piece lug nuts with the cap that swells? From the looks of them on my 2023 BS BB I would guess yes. If so I will be replacing them very quickly. Thanks for any feedback and a good quality lug nut replacement.

Thank you for clearing that up! I was worried for a moment.

Yes, the OEM nuts are two-piece.
I can't believe that Ford is still using that junk. I remember when I bought my 2018 F-150 many members on the F-150 Forum were cursing those lug nuts. Many though me included opted for aftermarket wheels and such and disposed of the problem lugs.
I'll be getting rid of the OEM lugs on the BS and getting a black set. Not a fan of the chrome anyway.

As a former Ford dealer in an area where virtually everyone swapped over to winter tires & wheels I can confirm that they are total junk! Can't tell how many we had to replace with "real" lug nuts.

There should be a law because in an emergency if those caps are swelled you are screwed to get the wheel off.

100 agree, we've had to tow vehicles off the Trans Canada highway because of it. Stranded on a very dangerous mountain pass in the dead of winter is extremely dangerous!

Better Ford's than yours.
