Again I ask....are there any cases that have been documented that indicate what you are saying?
Don't get me wrong; I'm not a fan of the feature either, which is why I disable it when I start my Bronco. The few times I forget, the engine immediately starts when my foot comes off the brake prior to pressing the go pedal.
But I do not fault the feature for what it is intended to do: it allows auto manufacturers on a wide margin to help meet EPA fuel mileage requirements. Small savings to an individual, but adds up for fleet savings.
