I just got my first flat tire. My husband passed 14 months ago, so I had a go of it myself. I could do everything but loosen the lug nuts. Luckily a nice young gentleman stopped to help. I noticed Ford Roadside assistance stops at 5 years/60,000 miles. I'm at 64,000. You can still call, but there is a charge. I'm not one to worry when on the road. But. Has anyone used Ford assistance after the initial 5 year mark? Is anyone with any Roadside assistance happy with their choice? Thanks.

I've had AAA for 47 years and I've always been happy with them. Cheers!

I have had AAA for 54 years now. If you decide to get AAA, check the different levels of membership.
I have Premier, but you may not need that much coverage. So check it out.
Thank you. I went with plus. It was the best fit.

I've had AAA for 7 years now. Even with Ford's Roadside Assistance, I decided to just keep it and not cancel and rejoin when the Ford Roadside Assistance expires.

I've had only one experience with Ford roadside assistance, and it wasn't good. And that was under warranty. My wife called for a flat tire fix and waited, and waited, while they tried to find someone approved by Ford for the fix. I finally drove the half hour to where she was and changed the tire myself. It wasn't until we were heading back home that someone called back and asked my wife if she was safe because they still hadn't found anyone. This was probably 1 1/2 hours from the initial call. Emergency road service on my auto policy is relatively inexpensive and I can call whoever I want. I pay the bill and my insurer reimburses me. I feel more confident with this setup.

Probably a good idea to check with your local dealers if they are set up to provide this service before you rely on it. In my experience, AAA is a lot more responsive.

Ford navigation tried to kill me once so I figured Ford Roadside assistance wasn't the way to go. But I thought I would ask the group. I ended up with AAA.

When I had a BMW with their roadside service (pushbutton on the roof, like GM's On*Star), they always called AAA. Their choice of tow operator may vary by region. When I replaced the BMW, I got AAA for myself.

When it rains here in SoCal, the accident rate more than doubles. People won't slow down with the wet roads. That is the the only time I have seen AAA get overwhelmed with calls. There are times one needs to be patient. Otherwise, I have always received good service from AAA.
