Replacing Center Console Trim Panel

Has anyone tried to replace the center console cover. Got my BS BB used and the silver center console piece is scratched and wanted to make it look nicer without putting a carbon fiber cover over it. You can buy the part from ford, and was wondering if anyone had tried this or had any recommendations. I was also thinking about getting a different color rather than the silver piece.

Yes you pull up or using a plastic pry bar at the very front, follow the curvature with your fingers and about 1/2 way down you will feel a slight space and thats the spot to pry up from. Be careful after you get it up because there are 3 pins at the back side you need to slide the cover forward a little bit. Good Luck, Steve

It is fairly simple to remove the cover just as JAD67428 has said. I removed mine so I could switch out the cup holder for a lighted one. My BS still had the wiring for the lighted cup holder even though Ford deleted that for '22 because it was within the first 500 '22s built.

I know it’s on a thread somewhere but where did u find your lighted cup holder?

It is the same one used in the Escape. I am not sure of the part number. When you order it, you will need to put in the information for your BS. The site will state that the part doesn't fit the BS and ask if you still want to order it.

I didn’t think about that at first but someone else had mentioned the cup holders and I remembered then but thanks for the reminder

Check Ebay or Amazon look at some at Ebay I think they were $24.00.
