I put these on my '22 OBX at Costco 10 days ago. They replaced my Michelin Primacys. Tires only had 9500 miles on them, but 2.5 weeks ago, I drove over 4 roofing nails that had fallen into the roadway. The nails were side by side making the tire un repairable. Since most advise buying tires...
I just installed Bridgestone Weatherpeaks on mine. They are all season, but also have a snow rating. These replaced my OEM Michelin Primacys. Wasn't planning on changing tires on my '22 at 9500 miles, but 4 roofing nails in driver's side front that made it unrepairable made that decision for me.
On your Expedition, it could be a bad place in the starter. I had this happen on my '06 Ranger when it was 5yrs old. When I had the system tested at AuotZone, they said it was a bad alternator. However, when I took it to the dealer, the service manager didn't think that was the case and went...
My '22 OBX was experiencing issues with gauge cluster blacking out earlier this year. I was told that they needed to update the Sync software and that would fix it. When that didn't, they replaced the APIM. When that didn't fix it, they replaced the gateway and the display. I never did have...
On my 2019 Ranger Lariat Screw cab, the HVAC controls are on the screen. There are some buttons down low to adjust the temp, and control the fan, but neither the screen nor the buttons are very easy to use without taking your eyes off the road. My '22 OBX at least has the knows that are at a...
Got the BS back today. They had to replace the instrument cluster because a bad gateway caused it to fail.
Time will tell if the third time is the charm. First time was updating the Sync. Second time was the APIM. Third time instrument cluster and gateway.
I took the BS back to the dealership on Monday and they found another failed component. The parts finally arrived yesterday at 3p. They said that they would the parts installed and then reprogram everything. Hopefully, I will get it back sometime next week.
They did provide a loaner, but...
It is the same one used in the Escape. I am not sure of the part number. When you order it, you will need to put in the information for your BS. The site will state that the part doesn't fit the BS and ask if you still want to order it.
It is fairly simple to remove the cover just as JAD67428 has said. I removed mine so I could switch out the cup holder for a lighted one. My BS still had the wiring for the lighted cup holder even though Ford deleted that for '22 because it was within the first 500 '22s built.
Well its been about 2 weeks since I picked up the BS from the dealership after the install of the new APIM. The screen has been black 3 or 4 times. The first time was within in 10 days of the "repair". Not sure what my next move will be. Very disappointing and frustrating.
I also have the Premium Package. I remember receiving an email from Ford last year saying that if I wanted the nav updates I needed to subscribe to get them.
The APIM did fail their test, so they replaced it. It took a couple of days to get the part. I haven't had a chance to pick it up yet, so we'll see if that did fix it.
I get diagnosing the problem. That's not what I was upset about.
I was upset about the denial about what I was told and the insinuation that I didn't understand what I was told.
Mid March I took the car to the dealer regarding the issue with the drivers info screen going in and out. Dealership stated that they updated the software and that should fix the problem. The service manager went on to say that if it started doing it again, that they would have order the APIM...
I swapped out the two piece lug nuts on my '19 Ranger Lariat, mainly because I thought chrome lugs didn't look right with the solid Magnetic rims. I installed black lugs instead.
I wouldn't trade my BS for a Big Bronco due the price, and mpg. Plus I have a 2019 Ranger Lariat 4x4 Sport crew cab. It is on the same chassis as the Bronco gets way better gas mileage, has useful cargo room both in the bed and the cab, and is great on the highway.
Thanks for the info.
I have tried to find a fix. From my search so far, this issue affects the center media display. There was one that involved the driver info screen, but in that case both screens were affected.
I will update when I have more info.
**UPDATE** it has been going in and out...
