At the dealership now... but wanted to see if anyone has experienced water leaking into the cabin when it rains?

I'm noticing a small puddle on the passenger side floor every time it rains. I tried to convince myself it was just water from shoes, but it's definitely a leak from somewhere. Thank goodness for the BL's rubber floors and keeping my carpet mats out. I can't see a drip from anywhere, and the dealership hasn't seen this issue yet (to be fair, I'm in a town of 8000 people, so not a ton of BS around).

Anyone on here know where it could be coming from?

Yes - had similar issues, couldn’t be solved. look for my thread under “Interior Water Leak A- Pillar / Headliner”. The leak evolved into dripping under my steering wheel and under my glove box. Couldn’t fix it - Lemmon Law Buyback.

Does the water really only show up when it rains, or is that when you notice it. I ask because someone here had a blocked or pinched AC condensate tube resulting in condensate (water) leaking into the interior on the passenger side. Hopefully it's something simple that can be easily found and fixed.

Legitimately only when it rains! Noticed it first a few weeks ago but thought it was from wet feet because we had been in and out a few times, but this time it was there first thing in the morning after a heavy night rainfall when the car had been dry the day before. Dealership took the visor off, pillars off, and lifted the floor mats and it was bone dry everywhere and no water leaking with pressure testing... sigh... guess I'll keep an eye on it.

Nope! I went out when it was raining last night and the AC vents under the passenger side dash felt a bit damp… now I’m wondering if it’s coming from there?
Not sure if this would help but I had a similar issue on a 2014 Mustang a few years back. It was a seal on the door mirror. Might be something to check

Maybe you should try getting a garden hose and soak small areas starting at the hood level by the wind shield and slowly work your way up. This works better if there is someone in the car watching for water. If low pressure doesn’t work hit it with high pressure

I'd be willing to bet it's a defective windshield seal. Believe it or not, I've seen this before on other vehicles. Even had something very similar on my own mazda 6. It took months for me to figure it out. I had the windshield removed and reseated with new sealant and the problem went away. They might not be looking there since the windshield is likely tight, but there may be a tiny section where the water can get in.

Just my two cents. I have not seen any tsb or ssm about this being a regular issue.

My dealership is planning to take the whole dash/windshield/pillars apart if we can’t figure it out ? I’m optimistically hoping it is an easier fix than that though.

Okay, guys... I just posted about my floor board being soaked (Frost on inside of Windshield) and I'm finally finding this! The dealership is acting as though I've done something to cause this problem and like I'm just an idiot. I told them about all of your remarks above about different reasons why, and they just seem bothered... Anyone have any suggestions for getting them to listen? Obviously I'm a female or I wouldn't be having this problem (at least where I live...)...

Currently waiting to have the dealership take mine in for a proper pressure test this month. If I ever get an answer, I’ll let you know!

If your dealer is Malloy, find a new dealer. My previous Ford went there for service. Never again.
