Apparently it's been said that on some EcoBoosts engines (such as the 2.7L V6 Twin Turbo that's in the Big Bronco) They have an electric water pump, which continues to work even after you shut the vehicle off, because issues of the turbo getting too hot and cooking themselves if drivers were to stop after driving and shut it off right away instead of letting the turbo cool down.

Does the 1.5L in the Bronco Sport, Base/Big Bend/Outerbanks/Heritage edition, have an electric water pump or no? If anyone knows, thanks.

I’m pretty sure someone posted a picture of the 1.5L water pump a couple of days ago and it clearly isn’t electric.

could be the start of an interesting thread
heat soak after engine shutdown
coolant circulation ceases
oil coking potential
advantageous for secondary electrical coolant circulation post shutdown
such as the headlight fans
Kong shutdown SOP
slow dance Sparkplug back into the stable
pops hood full open position
plugs in battery maintainer
figure the open hood may dissipate residual heat to a degree
open hood acts as a reminder to unplug maintainer before exiting stable

A little off topic, but Idk if heat is much of a problem on these 1.5's. Mine wont warm up past the first bar on the temp gauge if its 40 degrees out and im running the heater during idle. Never had that happen in a vehicle before. But with only 3 cylinders and modern technology it makes some sense.
