does anyone know where the Purge valve/VMV is on the Badlands Bronco sport? Have a CEL for the Evap and want to check if it’s stuck open.

Don’t quote me on this but I believe it’s under the driver side behind the felt cover.

I believe that's the charcoal canister. Both are components of the evaporative control system, but the charcoal canister is typically installed very near the fuel tank filler tube. The purge valve controls the flow of fumes that are sent to the engine cylinders to be burned off, so these are typically found in the engine bay near the engine's induction system.

I’m going to check under the intake manifolds because I couldn’t visibly see it and finding anything online is nearly impossible. Thank you.

The evaporative canister purge valve is located on the top and side of the engine. It is easily accessible. The replacement valve is an assembly and includes new tubing.
By any chance you know the parts number I can’t seem to find it anywhere

What code are you getting? PO455? Several people have broken the connector at the evap canister under the car because it isn't protected by the plating. Seems more likely to me than a stuck solenoid at this stage.

Finally found the purge Valve is located right in front of the motor but the lines are heat sealed so makes it harder to quickly swap. The part number is c1b1-9g866-aa b33tb if anyone needs it. I just need to find it with the assembly(update) full assembly part number is Lx6z-9d289-sh but is back ordered until March must be a popular fix.

If your vehicle is under warranty take it to the dealer. If it looks like you've tampered with the emmission controls you'd have to pay for everything yourself.

Is not unfortunately my 3/36 ran out last week and the light went on literally two days after and this part isn’t covered under the emissions or drivetrain warranty.

Any pics to help us out. Thanks in advance.

It took about 30mins. You can line it up with your current one before install.
