LOL, the drivers side has that hugh round grab handle infront of the drivers seat.
Hopefully someday you don’t get old and have trouble negotiating this world. Try a little kindness, overlook your blindness. Peace.

I wish it was there for functionality but also aesthetics. All the big Broncos at the Stampede had these sweet paracord grab handles on all four doors. I don't know why they get one on their driver's side but we do not.

Because the driver has a steering wheel to grab and pull yourself in; much stronger than a grab handle.

I have replaced both the driver and passenger A-pillar grab handles/plastic cover on my 2007 Ford F-150 due to them cracking away from the plastic A-pillar cover. My wife got in on the passenger side, grabbing the handle, only for it to break away. It was not pretty watching her fall back onto the driveway with the handle in her hand.

Since the Sport is so low to the ground, I've never needed to pull myself in and hopefully never will while I own this car. The functionality piece would be pulling myself up in the seat to see obstacles over the hood (which grabbing the streering wheel doesn't provide leverage to help with). I'm 5'5" and have my seat fully raised but often need to pull myself up to see things over the hood humps. I shimmy in the seat until I'm as tall as I can be, but the handle would be cool for quick adjustments. I do have the front camera which I use multiple times a day, but there's no substitute for truly just seeing a rock, a rut, etc. to line up my wheels and climb over.

LOL, didn't think it was a mean comment. Sorry if it was taken that way. By the way, when is old and trouble negotiating start, I am 69 years old now, and have arthritis in my neck, shoulder and the one hip that hasn't been resurfaced. The BS is the only vehicle we looked at to replace our Flex that I could get in easily (no ducking required) compared to a Explorer we looked at or Edge we now have (ducking required). Easily because I can’t bend my neck enough to clear the door opening in those two. The only reason we didn’t lease one is a rear facing child seat wouldn’t fit in the second row (for our youngest grandchild).

The OP had a real world problem(his world anyway), and was looking for some real world solutions. And this forum for the most part offers that. P.S just because you think something is funny doesn't make it necessarily so. Kindness is a wonderful thing.

Ok, lets try this. I use the steering wheel when I have trouble getting in and out!

Because of height. Bronco Sport does not sit as high as the other vehicles so needing to pull yourself up into a seat is not warranted.
I'm not sure if my arm and body would contort in a comfortable manner to use a handle on the sport.

To each his own. Thanks, though. While I appreciate your comment, I was just looking for specific information about the availability for adding one and not necessarily whether or not you think you or I need this. It appears most who are replying to my original question, don't quite get what I'm after. I'm not complaining, but it's not really helpful.

Y'all have some good years ahead of you. My wife and I are in our early 80's. No trouble getting in and out. My wife is 5 feet tall and has no visibility problems when driving.
We're not old, we've just been young for a long time.
10-4 Barry, keep on truckin'. I'm a few years behind you, but the challenges are more frequent than they use to be, for me anyway.

You know how the saying goes, if I knew I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself.

I too would like a grab handle on the driver side. I’m sad that neither our Explorer nor Bronco Sport have the handle as I would like to hang my arm occasionally.
