All I know is that it sounded rough as hell compared to our 2.0 Ecoboost! The low speed sound that is heard is a turbo spinning up and can be louder as the temp are cooling.![]()

I am aware of what a turbo sounds like and in no world does a turbo make grinding/rattling noises. The low speed sound that is heard is a turbo spinning up and can be louder as the temp are cooling.![]()
I took my '21 Badlands for a 45 minute test drive before I signed. Back roads, highway ect. Cause once you sign most dealers gonna say all noises normal. When we test drove a used 2021 BS BB last week we immediately noticed what sounded like engine or transmission rattling and other unusual noises.
We were surprised. My wife thought it was a lemon someone quickly got rid of.
We are going to order a BS BL very soon. Hopefully it doesn’t have the same issue.
Hopefully dealer can fix that noise....
Here’s mine. When 35 degrees and below I get this from roof, drivers dash area, and passenger a pillar. The roof and dash go away when it’s warm. The a pillar is constant. I can put my finger in the a pillar and it’ll stop. Just uncomfortable driving with one hand on the wheel and the other across the vehicle on the a pillar. The top of the a pillar doesn’t sit flush. A new a pillar cover would probs fix that.
Didn’t notice it when I bought it since was warm and we’ve only had two days where was cold enough. Sounds like a piece of ice stuck between plastic and glass or loose plastic on glass. But I’ve checked and there’s nothing frozen or noticeable that is causing it. And only lasts until warmed up. I would think is a tolerance issue. Have 600 miles on my 22 BL. The passenger a pillar rattle I noticed on test drive. The others no since was 60 out.
Good morning! Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd like to look into this noise concern. Thank you!

Sounds like ice build up. I had this myself and cleared it and noise went away.

When I first purchased my OB the dealer noticed a noise coming from the roof liner. They replaced it. They said that the foam was not sitting right. Maybe something to shoot for?Yeah but does it without the ice. Just has to be cold out. That was the first time it did it. And the track was clear. No ice today, just 32 degrees this morn.
Here is the passenger a pillar noise. Clicks over any lil bump at any temp. It looks like a bad mold since it doesn’t fit flush like the drivers side does and if you push in the noise goes away.
Hi there.Just a one week update, car still sounds great after the two fixes they completed, no swapping of transmission in my vehicle.
I get this EXACT NOISE holding that speed. What is it? Park release cable?
