Whelp, well my 2022 BL just started making this noise (most like the noise from the video the OP summited).... 370 miles on the ODO.....low speed driving into my parking lot at work and it made that noise and honestly it startled me.....WTF is that noise I thought.

I did put it Sport mode on my way to work. What's also weird is my SYNC system completely crashed and would not allow any inputs.. I'm wondering if this is perhaps more an issue of the fake engine noise that's piped in (that's malfunctioning) while in sport mode? Specially with the SYNC issue that happened at the same time......

Are there any new TSB's that you guys know about since I have the supposed updated cables....
Good afternoon. Would you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so I can look into this noise concern on my end? Thank you!

Here is a video link to listen to the noise I’m having….I drove 20 minutes in normal mode…no problem. Crept around in a parking lot…nothing. Drove back in Sport mode for 20 mins after driving in Sport mode….crept around in a parking lot, and this is what I get…..not happy.

That sound is a little different than the grinding noise from the cable issue but I am by no means a car noise expert.

I swear it only happens so far after Sport mode use. So either something happens to the engine because of Sport mode….or…the fake engine noise goes haywire. Call me crazy….any takers on this theory??

No prob I took the cable off and it’s pretty quiet now so that cable was acting as a pipeline for noise right to the cab.
Finally took your advice and pulled the cable off. Unsnapped it from the bell crank and removed the bolt holding the cable to the top of the transmission. Zip tied the loose end up next to the battery. WOW what a difference! The hissing noise is GONE! The clacking noise on downshift is GONE! After 19,000 miles it's finally the Bronco it was meant to be.

I’m very happy to hear that! Just make sure the lever on top of the transmission is moved toward the front of the vehicle so it doesn’t inadvertently put it in neutral since the cable isn’t hooked to it.
My clacking/ rattles are still gone too. That cable is 100% a pathway like a stethoscope from the transmission to the cabin and when it’s connected, you hear all the solenoid clicks from the transmission. The dealer and ford don’t admit or know this so they have been blaming the cable all along yet it’s the transmission I 100% believe it’s the reason for the noises (normal) but the revised cable has a ball like sound deadening item attached to the cable to prevent noises from traveling through

only thing now is I hear the odd clicking noise under my driver floor in the pedal area, but that could be because I still need to put the new cable iN since it adds some sound deadening for noises from the engine bay

I found this on the NHTSA website. It appears Ford is aware? I have this issue as well with my 2022 BSBL. Just need to bring it in for service.

I finally took our Bronco in for the noise we had. It was due for an oil change and had the oil seperator recall and checked to see if they could do the front brake pad one. Told them about the rattle noise and the possibly cable issue. They replaced the front brake pads and noise is gone. It sure didn't sound like it was coming from the brakes, but guess it was.

Has anyone else had an issue with the brakes grunting after you get your brake pads replaced due to the recall? I took my Big Bend in a few weeks ago for another noise (which is getting really annoying at this point), and the dealership, while they couldn't diagnose that issue, told me the brake pads were finally in. They replaced it, but then when I got it back, every time I braked at low speeds (like at a stop sign, red light, or parking) or let go of the brake, it would grunt really loudly. I brought it back to Ford, and insisted on a ride along. The technician instantly heard it and after ANOTHER week at the dealership, I just got it back and it still makes the noise, albeit much quieter.

Additionally, has anyone had a wind/buzz noise coming from the front of the vehicle upon acceleration?

For context, I purchased my Bronco Sport in April 2021. Since then it's just had random noise after random noise. I first took it in maybe May or June for a grumbling sound at lower speeds. They couldn't diagnose it, and a year later, thanks to this forum, I took it in again with the fix that one of y'all posted. They finally fixed it after 2 weeks in the shop. Then about a month ago, the car started making another noise. Only when accelerating, it would make this wind/buzz noise coming from the front of the vehicle. When I first took it in two weeks ago, they couldn't replicate it. So when I took it in again last week (because after they did the brake pads, as referenced above, the brakes started making noise), I rode along with a technician. He heard the noise and mentioned it could be normal because of the turbocharger, which is odd, because this just started after over a year of not doing that.

Also -- last time I took it in, they added nearly 90 miles to my vehicle. This time they've added 50 miles to my vehicle. Is that normal?

I'm so tired of taking it back to the dealership and being without a car days, sometimes weeks, at a time, only for them to not fix the problem or cause more issues. Has anyone had any luck with any of these issues? Or better yet, is anyone in the DC area and has had a good service advisor/dealership service dept they can recommend?

I have a 22 Badlands BS and am now getting this same noise at lower speeds. Roughly 1300 miles on her since picking up at end of June.

Engine? Dash? Moaning/Rattling noise after using sport mode.... | 2021+ Ford Bronco Sport Forum - Broncosportforum.com

I ended up making my own thread about the noise I was having, I explained at the end of the thread that the noise is essentially normal. Its the Turbo blow off valve letting out pressure. What's funny is it hasn't made much noise since bringing it in LOL
