That’s why I went with a 30.2 inch Goodyear.I know, right? The "Sasquatch" moniker should equate to improved off-road capability. Given that ground clearance is the Bronco Sport's biggest weakness in that area, Ford should've done something about. My fear is that the reason it didn't centers around driveline concerns, mainly the CV joint operating angles. My hope is the reason has to do with fuel economy.
Couple of ways around this but both will never happen.
Widen the track both front and rear using new suspension components, new fenders with flairs front and rear. $$$$$
Use aftermarket CV's capable of tolerating higher angles. $$$$$
I guess they are figuring for numerous reasons, they can't go any further on ground clearance.
Never will be a Sport Raptor I suppose but it would be something to see.
Wow, so we almost think alike! So, yesterday I ordered the 2025 Sport Outer Banks, buy in the Ruby Red but was considering the green but the red stuck out more to my liking! Also, I'm not a huge off-road person either so I didn't get that package but did get alot of the other packages that were available!!After some deep and deliberate thinking, I've made some changes to the way I am going to order the Bronco Sport. The biggest change will be dropping the Sasquatch package. Several personal reasons for my decision:
So with that being said, if all goes well, I plan on placing an order this Saturday for a Velocity Blue Badlands with the tech package, moonroof, and topo graphics:
- I don't like the front brush bar (visually unappealing to me).
- I was under the initial impression that the Sasquatch package was needed to get the trailer tow hitch. The hitch is in fact standard on all Badlands models.
- I won't pretend to be a hard-core off-roader when I really am not (I drive a Tucson now for goodness sake!). Back woods country roads with a camping trailer is more my style.
- I would miss the sunglass holder being replaced by auxiliary switches I would most likely never use.
- Finally the price seemed a bit steep for what you get. Most of the drivetrain components are the same as in the regular Badlands (enhanced 4WD, 2.0 engine, trail control, etc.).

I was going to get Eruption Green, but the blue finally won me over.

Good thing the tow package is standard on the BL. That package would be a hell of a price to pay just for a hitch. After some deep and deliberate thinking, I've made some changes to the way I am going to order the Bronco Sport. My confusion is only about 90% half mental. But I've been easily confused before at my age.
I 3rd that mental transitional episode. My confusion is only about 90% half mental.
OK, you're sounding alot like Yogi Berra! My confusion is only about 90% half mental.
Is that Ranger price with the 2.3 Eco Boost? Any idea how much extra the 2.7 Eco Boost is in the Ranger?Yea its interesting. I got curious as I've said the price for the 25 Badlands with the SAS is mid size truck territory...and it is. I went to the builder...bc apparently I have the time. And you can build out an Ranger XLT FX4 with ACC, rear locker and the better engine for the same price.
This might be my upgrade route as well. Certainly I’ve posted contemplating the Ranger before as a truck guy. Even if I’m hauling a box of air. The upgrades are nice, but not enough to trade my 22 for a 25 BS.Yea its interesting. I got curious as I've said the price for the 25 Badlands with the SAS is mid size truck territory...and it is. Looks like $2,195. I started with a Lariat, but I presume it’s the same upgrade cost across all trims. Is that Ranger price with the 2.3 Eco Boost? Any idea how much extra the 2.7 Eco Boost is in the Ranger?
I can take it or leave it. On one hand, the black door handles do seem to be out of place for a top of the line trim. On the other hand, however, they do match nicely with the black wheels and black roof, giving the Badlands a more rugged appearance. But Badlands stuck with black outside door handles now?? Sky high price black outside door handles only?
