Ya, think it's too late now for me since my BL is already scheduled for production.

The last thing I want to do is change something and be put to the back of the line. ?
I wanted to make a small change also, but didn't want to muck up the works either.

The mudflaps are a DIO (Dealer installed option). Adding it later should not "muck" up your order.

Nope if you order it with mud flaps they are installed at factory which is quite unusual. But they can be installed afterwards too.

Is it an easy install by chance? Or is drilling required?

Technically, you have to drill. You have to drill through the felt/fabric of the wheel well in like, 1 spot. Honestly, you can probably use an awl or force to do it. Here are the installation instructions as a PDF. This is not the exact same part, because the Ford accessory has the BRONCO nameplate and a slightly different set of instructions. This PDF is 99% the same though. This company makes the Ford accessory for them.

You are correct. The standard flaps are installed at the factory. All the others are DIO.

The only drilling required is up front and that is the bottom hole into the plastic trim that runs along the bottom of the vehicle.

Yeah I ordered mine with the standard flaps. It is quite odd and quite unusual that they install them at the factory.

Plenty of pics I have seen sports fresh off the car trailer dealer has not touched them and those flaps are installed as delivered to dealer crazy.

I didn't order any specific mud flaps on my BL edition. Wondering if I made a mistake not doing that. I suppose I can always order them after the fact and have them installed.
If they are not part of a package and cost $600-$700 I’d not want to finance them for five years and pay interest on them. I’d add them after the sale.

Since my OBX is all White w/Black trim, I couldn’t resist to color in the embossed Bronco lettering on the rear mud flaps to make them stand out. I even left the two middle letters ON to be outlined in white only while the rest I colored all the way in with white paint just for extra uniqueness. Pretty happy with the results and overall effect. If I get tired of it, I can paint all the letters in later, but for now just let it ride.
just sharing as this is what a forum is for!

I have OEM flaps on my BSBL that were indeed installed at the factory. I believe the only thing the dealer installed was the roof rails. I like my flaps. They look good and get the job done.
