I have read all the hitch threads and still have some questions. I only want the hitch and don’t need the wiring.

I also hate the look of cut bumpers If done wrong.

I am leaning towards getting a new bumper cover with the cutout already in it.

Part# Bumper Assembly - Rear - Ford (M1PZ-17906-SC)

I don’t like the 2022 Curt option.

Recommendations?

Sounds like that's your best option, except its going to have a cutout for the trailer plug that won't be there.

I guess i can get the plug too unless that is a real pain to install.

Can anyone confirm that part will fit a 2022?

It will but its not 100% like from the factory. The one from the factory has a spring-loaded door that conceals the 4 pins.

The one from the accessories dept. is merely a rubber cap that hangs.

Ford Bronco Sport OEM Hitch Install for 2022 Badlands A150C8F2-61EF-4F4A-9F9C-080F906F8493

Mine hangs and is looped on to reduce hang time. I also bought a cheaper universal wiring harness and not the Ford OEM style. I will use my hitch more for accessories than true towing so I’m ok with how it is, and just wanted the wire harness put in so I didn’t have to add later and pay labor again

My cut bumper wasn't done all that great from the dealer. I'm a picky person and it doesnt bother me one bit. You will forget about it in 3 minutes top.

Dispite the way they looks in photos it's a lot less noticable in real life

I would secure that plug and wire bundle to the hitch receiver.

It is. Hard to tell in the pic. It’s looped/connected to where you would place hooks from a trailer.
That’s how my Escape was done. Worked just fine! Your cut out also looks just fine.

Did you go with the part number I listed above? Does it include holes for the parking sensors?

Perfect! Will definitely go that route.
Did you do the install or did the dealer?
I did it. Not difficult at all just takes a bit of time. Took me about three hours.

A few things: the existing wiring 'holders' will not mount properly to the new bumper since the bumper was designed for cars with tow package wiring. It'll work, you'll just have to finagle the wiring into it the new mounts. Two, you'll need to purchase the two metal pop rivets as thats how the bumper attaches to the two trim pieces just below the taillights. Three, go slowly when removing the trim on the fender to access the one rivet clip. I ended up breaking a few on the mounts as i pulled.

I cannot stress enough, I highly recommend you remove taillights before you do anything. They have a somewhat sharp edge and will Knick/gouge the paint as you remove the bumper.

Good luck.
