Less than 3100 miles on my BS and the back right window won't roll up. Will find out how long it'll take to get an appointment at the dealership tomorrow morning. Cut and taped a piece of shower curtain liner (my wife had been using one as a dropcloth, luckily) over the opening, which looks as classy as it sounds. So I'll be driving my bulletproof 2012 Ram 1500 4x4 for a few days and contemplating the mystery of why I ever bought a Ford.
Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Bronco concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

Ok, I tried to ignore it, but that was simply asking too much of the ex-writer in me. The word you were looking for is "rapport."
Thanks for the spell checkerouter:thumbsup:

I know this is the Bronco Sport forum, but to be fair to OP, I'd be pretty jaded by a failed window motor at 3100 miles too. I recognize that warranties are designed to cover the big start of the bathtub curve of failures, but that is a very premature failure on a motor. I also congratulate OP for having great reliability with his 2012 Dodge RAM as a vehicle. And my cousin had to lemon law his 2019 F-150 on electrical wiring issues that the dealer tried to resolve for six weeks before buying the vehicle back. Even the best manufacturers have vehicles that were defectively manufactured in some way.

I would note that the 2012 RAM predates the takeover of Fiat Chrysler, and I have heard a lot of people complaining about Fiat Chrysler vehicle reliability, so I wouldn't assume that if you traded in your BS and bought something else, it would be more reliable. The BS seems to be a very reliable vehicle (beyond 1.5L water pump issues and brake noise).

OP, it's disappointing that you had a part failure so early, but I would work with the Ford rep in this thread to make your repair as expedient as possible, and hopefully it is a small bump on a long period and many miles of vehicle ownership.

"Bulletproof."

I'm sorry you're having an issue with your Bronco Sport. Ford certainly has had it's share of issues lately, and it's handled the supply chain problems worse than most. But this is the first time I've ever heard anyone use the word bulletproof to describe a Dodge/Chrysler product.
Let me tell you about my Chrysler product, a GTX from 1969.

While driving out of the dealership lot, I turned on the defroster and the defroster hose under the dash fell off and landed on the floor.

I then turned on the windshield wipers as it started to rain the the passenger side wiper flew off.

A month or so later, took a hard left and the passenger side door handle flew off.

And at around 25K miles, the engine died and when they pulled the heads off of it, they were full of metal shavings on both sides.

There's a bulletproof Chrysler product for you.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading these 4 pages.....
Yeah, well I’m such an asshole, I hope he gets a quick and easy fix tomorrow just so he can drive it again until something else breaks. I’m thinking the next problem will be even funnier!

LOL You must be fairly young. Ever hear of the Chrysler "Bullet proof" slant 6 ? Chrysler had that engine for 40+ YEARS. People would run it short 3 qts of oil and she'd still just keep motoring. Google it !.
I had a 67 F100 with the 390 in it that burned oil, drove all day and had to put 6 liters in before it showed on the stick.

Hopefully dealer fixes the window so he gets a better trade in for that awesome reliable new Dodge Hornet...

No, no, growing up it was Fix Or Repair Daily.

But in this instance, I think it's best to go back to another old stand-by acronym: Frustrated Owner Really Disappointed.

Which is a fair bit better than another one which applies to many people buying into the offroad marketing hype: Frankly Over-Rated Driver.

to be fair to OP, I'd be pretty jaded by a failed window motor at 3100 miles too.
Just want to get my money down before the big reveal. I think it's going to be a stuck limit switch, not the motor itself. I'm betting it was possible to effect a "Fonzie" type of repair.
The absolute worst case scenario (for OP) would be that they were trying to roll up the rear window with the door control and somehow had depressed the driver door window lockout. I would really like to see the shop tech's report in that case.
