So I replaced my door speakers with the Jbl gto29s (Highly recommend by the way) and it cleaned up the sound quite a bit. It's also louder and less muddy just on the bass. I'd say volume 22 sounds as loud as volume 25 with the factory speakers. So next I want to add a subwoofer and tweak the Eq of the system to flat. I want full range in the front and rears as well. I don't know why the rears were cutoff at 300hz when they are the same woofers as the front?

I know there's some info on the web on how to do this but it's so scattered across different forums and videos and nobody has directly followed up with experience that it works correctly.
Anyway I would like a direct answer as to the lines i need to adjust in forscan to :

1 : change the rears to full signal. (going to use the rears to run the audio signal to a sub)

2 : Eq settings to flat

Also, please let me know any issues you had after adjusting these, like does the factory radio distort at lower volumes and such.

Thanks!

So I can comfirm these settings work. Definitely wakes up and sounds like I have a subwoofer already. I do believe it will probably distort after volume 25 but I cant verify that yet.

You may want to turn off ESE too while you are in there….
