I just received my window sticker for my Badlands that I ordered on 03/25/2022. There is a price increase of $2500 over my signed price agreement. I though we were safe from the price increase if we ordered before april 15. Has anyone else had the same problem and do you get the agreed price before april 15. Thanks everyone.

My badlands just went into production this week and I saw a huge price increase about 3k more than my signed order sheet. I will FLIP out at the dealership if they do not honor the initial price, especially since I could have bought the same car a few weeks ago at another dealer, but refused because I did not want to spend 5k more than my price. I have been waiting almost six months for this car and will be LIVID if they do not price match, and EVERYONE at the entire dealership will hear me complain very loudly (channeling all the "Karen's out there) and they will surely lose sales as the entire dealership is one big open room.

My sticker price went up $700 from when I ordered until when I took delivery. Dealer said they had to charge the higher sticker. I had email with detailed out the door quote from when ordered. But nothing signed. Dealer did honor the $500 rebate AND the additional $500 discount from original quote. Overall I was good with what I paid like yeah you got me now hand over the keys....

Ford has automatic price protection. Tim Bartz provided us with the data we need to train our dealerships. My dealership keeps lying to me about little things, so I'm ready for it to be a fight over price protection, incentives from the time of order, etc.

I’m thankful I have a signed document outlining my price including a ford incentive to order for $1,000 off and a dealer incentive for $2,000 off. I was insistent so there wouldn’t be any surprises later.

Well I put $500 down with my dealer on a BS they ordered and when it was built had a $1,000 increase on MSRP. The Dealer stated that an order by a customer is likely protected but the dealership order is not. I could have walked away but ordered in March delivered May 28th. Called Ford they told me Price protection was only last March 2021 not in 2022.

I'm about ready to go to war with mine. Not sure if yours reached out to you while you waited for a build week, but I haven't heard but a single peep out of mine in 3 months. They called a few weeks after I ordered to let me know the full size spare would hold up production and get my permission to order it separately. No updates, no check-ins, no anything since then unless I've initiated the contact.

When you combine it with the fact my salesman told me "I'm responsible for any manufacturer increases in MSRP," I'm about as ready to fight them the day of as you are. I've got a folder full of documents from my original order and saved copies of all rebates and incentives, plus Tim's screenshot.

This article is germane to the conversation: "Ford CEO Farley says electric vehicles will be sold 100% online, have nonnegotiable price."

Seems like Ford makes an announcement like this every few years, but the difference this time is that a huge number of people have over the last few years placed retail orders for the first time ever -- and dealers in this context have mostly been value-detractors. It's ridiculous how buyers have to fret about final price, even with a signed order form, or "educate" their dealer about Ford's own programs for price protection.

Ford of course can solve a lot of this right now by twisting some arms, but maybe they're saving their powder for what's next.

yeah, you and me.....but when I asked them that the price should hold based on the protection program. they just said we will go thru those when the vehicle comes and I purchase the car. I wish we would just do the paper work now instead of waiting for another 2 months.

I'm really thinking I should put a order in for a 4Runner just in case the Ford dealer pull that kind of stunt. I'd say adios to Ford forever.

Right now with demand high and supply low we don't have much leverage on prices. And a lot of dealers want to take as much of your money as possible they could not care less about reputation. There are good dealers out there but those are the exceptions.

The flip side is that of course there’s no x-plan etc. I’m all for this this though, one flat non-negotiable price, keeps it simple and possibly less stressful.

Don't worry, it's just the general value of the car at the time of construction - the BS has had some price hikes in the last few months. You are locked in to the value of the vehicle at the time of order, not the present value.
