Our dealer and others within 150 miles of Greenville,SC have a 4 month waiting list if you need a loaner vehicle. I had to go to our salesmanager and have a heart to heart talk. He gave me a vehicle and pushed ours through to get it in while on the i3yr/36,000 warranty. Had it 4 weeks
They are all so backed up on factory recalls they can’t get anything done,

Sounds like a dealer that doesn't want to keep their customers happy...might warrant an escalation to the Ford District Manager

Okay, we found the culprit ourselves by an associated incident. We always carry an emergency kit for ourselves and others if need be in our BS. Part a which includes a 2 gallon gas can. It was not overfilled, in fact only about a gallon.. We were gone for a week and there was a couple of hot days. Apparently the sealing gasket was cracked and the spout which was facing inside the can sucked air through the gasket and the spout sucked and dripped gas out. We found this out when we went an filled it up. It started dripping right away. We took out everything in the cargo bay and saw some gas remains in the indents in the body. Some also went along the cargo bay cover and into the passenger floor behind the driver. Poor Ford, all and all it wasn't a vehicle problem. We g

Maybe look at getting one of those things for carrying spare gas on the outside of your vehicle if its that important.
