If those numbers are accurate, it’s a little disappointing, but not too surprising. The larger, heavier Edge has better ratings with the 2.0L and 8 speed auto. We shall see how the US figures compare soon.

Yea.......the Edge with AWD 2.0 liter gets 28 HWY ....................disappointing if true. Could be the diff may be the reason

I get 22 mpg from my 2.0 now. I know I drive fast so I wouldn’t expect any better than that. I’d guess most people will get around 24 mpg combined in real world driving.

Note: an imperial (Canadian) gallon is .86 of a US gallon.
Did the math for anyone that didn’t want to give it a go. If true, and the conversion wasn’t already made by the news source that wrote the article, then the 1.5L BS would expect 29/33/30.

And 2.0 would come in at 24/29/26. Rounding down because realistically driving conditions used in these tests are rarely achievable day to day.

As much as I’d love believe these numbers, seems a bit optimistic, don’t ya think?

(edited for clarity & spelling)

So the above numbers are measured with regular unleaded, not premium?

premium. Just like premium is required to get the projected horsepower, I’m sure premium gets you the estimated mpg
That is certainly the case for Mazda SkyActiv, both for maximum HP and mileage.

That said, greatest fuel economy might be with the less-expensive fuel even if MPG is less.

Coming from 18~19 mpg mixed (pre Covid) on Premium.. I can appreciate any + and yea.. maybe less-expensive fuel is the way to go to get the most M/$!

that and stay in eco mode. Coming from a Tahoe using cheap fuel. I’ll be comfortable using premium and normal mode with the bronco sport
At least fuel prices in TX has gone down and stabilized a bit.. when it hit $3< I was a bit hurt each fillup... Sorry for those with with higher prices... I feel for you.

Just spotted this! If you search dealer inventory on the newly updated B&P, the vehicle summary shows MPG estimates. Looks like 1.5L is 25/28. Haven’t done a search for 2.0 yet
