I've got to say, that's a lot louder than mine but I still wouldn't worry about it.

I'm think that changing to the ceramic pads would only address the terrible brake dust issue on the BS. My dealer service manager told me that the problem with the whale moan sound was the bushings on the rear caliper. They are on back order so I'm just waiting for them to come in.I’ve owned a Mazda before and it was great. Traded it in on a Fusion with AWD because I needed AWD and that was great too which is why I went with Ford again and now got burned with this one.
Also the pads is what I heard are the problem on Reddit. They said once they swapped out the cheap metal ones for better quality ceramics, the noise was completely gone. I refuse to buy brakes for a new car when they’re not ready to be replaced. I feel that should fall under Ford Motor Company because they decided to use cheap parts for an almost $40,000 car. If they were severely worn, then it would be my responsibility, but I’ve had the brakes checked and they’re great since it’s only a year old and only 22,000 miles. I’ve had this problem since I’ve gotten it. It’s annoying and it’s embarrassing.
I have had this exact same problem since I bought my Bronco Sport Badlands in 2021. Three times I've complained of the rear moan noise when in reverse and not a single man there could hear it. I pushed the issue when I came in with the first TSB, and my dealer complied, but that didn't fix it. I told my Ford dealer service guy it still wasn't fixed and he said they still couldn't hear it. Now I'm past my 36,000 miles and feel like I'm screwed. Every morning I'm backing out of my driveway, cringing, thinking I'm waking up neighbors. It is SO embarrassing!!!Hey there! Can you send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you are working with? I would like to see what I can do to assist with your noise concerns.
When you took it in for this issue did you leave it there overnight? If not, you may have to. I would suggest you make arrangements with the service writer to leave the car at their shop over night, preferably outside in cold, wet weather. Tell them you want to be there first thing in the morning when they test it. Either that, or make a video recording you can show them of the behavior.I have had this exact same problem since I bought my Bronco Sport Badlands in 2021. They were not able to rectify the defect on the first attempt while still under warranty, so the subsequent attempt with the new TSB will be covered. That's what my dealer told me when I set up my appointment for later this week.I have had this exact same problem since I bought my Bronco Sport Badlands in 2021. I called my dealer with the newest TSB and had no problem getting an appt set, he told me it was covered just like you said. If your dealer is pushing back on that, go to another dealer.
This is perfectly relatable. It took me suggesting they keep it overnight-which they did. Finally, it could not be denied. The fix is on back order.. it’s unnerving to have faith in the first fix. Clock is ticking, my warranty is up in October ??I have had this exact same problem since I bought my Bronco Sport Badlands in 2021. Here is a status: The dealer did the diagnostic yesterday. Looks like they agreed that the TSB should be done. The kit to do the TSB is on national backorder with no estimate when the parts will be available. Once they are able to get the kit, they will schedule a time to do the service.I posted about this in https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/“finally”…-a-correction-for-rear-brake-moan-noise.10230/#post-177671
I am taking the BS BL to the dealer in February (first available date). They reminded me that a TSB is not a recall. It would be a warrantee issue (if available); otherwise, I will have to pay. Glad I got extended warranty.
That’s a common reply from service departments however next time you may want to ask which of the 3 TSB fixes for rear brake noise are they referring to…I brought mine to the Ford service center for the injector recall and brought up this service bulletin about the reverse noise. They said it's not a fix and usually only works temporarily.
That is the bulletin I brought in with me about the rear caliper bushings. They said they've changed dozens and it hasn't been a fix. Since I'm not on a warranty they told me not to waste my money. So I'm currently dealing with it.That’s a common reply from service departments however next time you may want to ask which of the 3 TSB fixes for rear brake noise are they referring to…
Latest is TSB 23-2308 (Supersedes TSB 23-2041) and maybe it will solve the issue.
Obsolete: TSB 23-2041, Supersedes 22-2326

That’s good to know about TSB 23-2308.. some owners say it fixed their issue but I’ve wondered for how long they gave it and under what weather conditions. That is the bulletin I brought in with me about the rear caliper bushings. I've had this issue since purchasing 2 yrs ago. My BS has been at the dealer 7 times. They even kept for 8 days and had no clue how to fix. Then the manager told me that ford had to Authorize the work I asked them to try to fix...things I read here...bushings etc. WTF?? I'm the one paying the note!! Shouldn't I have a vehicle that doesn't frighten people standing around me when I back up?? I wrote ford but haven't heard back. Maybe I should just get a different car...not a fordI have had this exact same problem since I bought my Bronco Sport Badlands in 2021.
