Yeah, I don't like it. My wife recently bought a 2024 Escape and I didn't like that they give one year free Navigation services and after that she has to pay yearly for it. Tactics to make money. Other than the crazy prices on the vehicles.
Use Android Auto/Apple CarPlay running Google Maps instead. The map data updates are free (other than your monthly cell phone bill) and updated more frequently. Plus you get all the other niceties that built-in nav offers, like voice-activation and live traffic alerts. You will also get alerts regarding police activity, stalled vehicles, and road hazards reported by other maps users.

We have the heated steering wheel on our 23 BL. Really glad to have it, but we turn it off shortly after turning it on as it gets too warm. So I find myself missing it from time to time on the F150 (where it was deleted) and wishing there was a temp control on the BS BL (like the seats).

(Add: I guess I really don't miss it too much on tbe F150 as I am supposedly eligible for the retrofit program, but don't want to go through the hassle/worry of the dealership installing a new steering wheel and it disassembling the dash to install the switch.)

Getting back to the string. Some trim levels have it as standard and some as options. If you are buying new, you most likely can order it.

One of the reasons I have no desire to trade my 2021 Outer Banks. I really like the heated seats and steering wheel, the temperature knobs that display the temp setting, the lighted cup holders and yes - even the little pencil holder in the center console!!!!

Came here to say that!! I've heard others complain about not having navigation after a year, that don't realize if they hook to Android Auto or Apple Carplay, they will still have that navigation!

2025 BS Outer Banks. I think they all had heated seats and a heated steering wheel. Mine does. What I wish it had was a towing package and a spare. (I will be adding a hitch for about $600.)
