I'm thinking it's your posting of the McGard kit when he was specifically referring to McGard wheel locks. Cheers!
Just trying to be helpful and showing the set I bought instead of something that isn't made for the vehicle.
Never really heard of an issue with McGard. Why go fishing with no bait.

I didn't have any issue with your McGard post. I have the same kit on my BB. Cheers!

I broke a wheel lock years ago and took it to Discount Tire. They hammered a socket on it and were able to remove it with a impact gun.

I thought I'd put it on here but I guess not. I ended up just going to AutoZone and bought their brand white night. I got the ones that have splines in them. Seems like it would get better contact and they look nice and some of my other ones were not a lot but a few of them had a little bit of rust in them. I'm assuming it's I had to change a tire when it was raining or something is how it got in there. But I got all new lug nuts, no locking lug nuts and I'm happy

NNot sure
and to think, all you had to do was leave the key in the glove box or center console
not sure what you mean by that. I had to take my tire off and the key broke

I replaced the two piece lug nuts with steel on both the Mustang and the Bronco. The Mustang came with factory installed locking nuts. The torque spec is 150lbs and I can't see how to do to that with a nut key between the wrench. Years ago I had a lock nut key strip and I got the nut off with vise grips. So why have the lock nuts in the first place. These Bronco wheels are not that desirable.

Torque I believe for the Sport is 100 lb/ft. With the key properly seated, I never have had an issue.

They are a pain to use, but not needed. I highly recommend the 1 piece lug nut though.

You are correct re: Bronco Sport torque spec is 100. I was referring to the torque spec for the Mustang at 150.
