First post here—but I’ve been on the site since purchasing my Base sport back in 2021. I’ve been running the 1.5” HRG lift for about 6 months now with 245/65/17 BFGs, though the appearance is better than stock, it still doesn’t have the lifted look I was hoping for. Falling down multiple rabbit holes, and even reached out to HRG and got news that a 2.5” kit is in the works for the lower trim levels. As much as I’d love to buy the Flatout Suspension kit, I cannot justify spending that kind of money for a soft-roader. Does anyone know, or has anyone replaced the struts or springs on their Bronco with a spacer lift? Are any of the strut/spring kits compatible with spacers?
Here’s my rig—many more mods to come this spring!

I’d do one or the other. Spacers or complete suspension lift. Don’t mix. Will be shit.
It doesn’t matter what lift and tires you run. The BS is always gonna look like it needs a lift.
I wouldn’t go over 2” on these. This is also the first time I’ve ever run a spacer lift.
Would never do it again. Especially the HRG. Is nice kit. Was told before I ordered that it levels it out when it doesn’t and you get stupid rake in the front from it. That’s part of the reason the HRG looks lower than some others. No one wants the factory rake look. That’s part of the reason we’re lifting these.

Because of the independent suspension, the main limiting factor in lifting the BS are the CV joints, installing a BS lift kit, spacer or strut/spring type increases the CV joint angle, the joint can only go so far before it will bind. Running the CV joints at maximum or close to maximum angles accelerates wear and early failure.
HRG's 2.5 inch BS ultimate lift uses spacers to drop the BS front and rear subframe to relieve the increased CV joint angle caused by the lift. Dropping of the subframe also helps in keeping the alignment in check or at least in a range that it can be aligned using the kits camber bolts.
Though not likely, maybe some company will come up with a next level setup for the BS.

I had (traded up) the HRG 1.5
I contacted HRG and asked if I could get just one of the plates they use to make the spacers with. He said they actually make them with 2 plates welded together for another vehicle but didn't recommend going to 2" in the front without dropping the sunframe.
He told me to just let them know what I wanted and they would get it to me. Now that I have a Badlands I've been going back and forth between HRG and Fordrangerlifts. Since HRG was a great kit and has been so reliable I might do their 1.25" Badlands lift with 1 extra plate in the front to make it 1.5
I know it's only 1/4 of an inch but maybe it would be enough to look a little better. And if I tow a trailer or load it up it won't be leaning back to much.

I would attest to the hrg lift being the best. The cv joint issue with increased lift should not be taken lightly. I tested the FO suspension but it did not work for me and I switched back to the hrg lift. Though others have said they have no issues with the FO. But if you have a badlands you should be more careful that is my take. I have had the cv clip break on me and my car is in the shop waiting to see if Ford will fix within the warranty but I don’t think that will happen. When lifting your vehicle since it is a unibody these things are going to happen so you have to be prepared for it in my opinion.

Forgot to add that I reduced rake with the hrg by using a rear suspension drop
