On BFG’s website they also vary in weight, the ones with raised white outlined letters are 7 lbs heavier than the ones without!

The white letter ones are rated 108 higher load rating (2,205 lbs) than the non-white rated at 104 load rating (1,984 lbs) so it is a heavier duty tire. It makes sense that it weighs more; probably rides a little rougher too with stiffer sidewalls.

It looks like the 104 rated one is the lightest 235/65r17 tire in the On-road A/T category and BFG is a great brand. I'll probably go with that tire when the time comes to get a new set.... I don't need 7 lb white letters LOL.

Yes, you are right. I typed this up in haste but they are fairly close in weight compared to a lot of other A/T tires. "Light" was probably the incorrect terminology. I have had them for about 26,000 miles and like them a lot. Minimal Road Noise, good wet performance, minimal wear, and aesthetically pleasing. I try to push them in every thread I see about tires :cwl:
talk to me about the Mickeys. What size are you running? What did you run before? Im on Falken AT3 and considering AT4 but really like the MT Baja Boss. Do you run them in snow too? Any cons?

I run the 245/65r17. Coming from the stock setup. I previously had an outer banks that was totaled, and bought my current BS already modified from the dealer with wheels, tires, and the 1.5" lift. I live in central Indiana so we have had some bouts of snow. not much this year, but last year I was chugging through 11 inches of snow like nothing. If I had a con, I would maybe say the wet performance. While I say it is "good" that is relative to most other A/T tires and the vehicle drive/type. I do notice under-steer in the rain, but I drive heavy footed so I don't really count it. Also, I would not say the under-steer is much different than stock especially if you drive normally. I have done minimal offroading, so I cannot speak much to that but I have climbed a few curbs to get in and out of parking lots that were closed :cwl: I have not made it into mud or sand, but other reviews online speak to their offroad performance in those cases.
