I’m lucky I guess, I have a dealer I can trust.
As for the engine cover, they simply tell those that ask. We can order one and if it comes in we will call you.

then obviously it can be removed cause Ford doesn't have missing engine covers... Just people complaining that they should be there. Got it... But while you take delivery, and you are so worried about an engine cover that isn't missing cause people complain who don't get them. Finance guy is getting the "paperwork" together. That's the only thing that matters is making sure they dont screw you over!
Very constructive addition to this thread...thanks!

Remember that you are eligible for any discount, rebate or financing offered at time of order or time of purchase whichever benefits you the most.
On my BS I was offered 1.9% for 60 months but when I ordered it was .9% for 60 months. I brought up the better rate, they checked the database and confirmed the .9%. That saves about a thousand dollars over the term of the loan.

Also you can buy a Ford (don't buy any other) warranty later as long as you are still under 3yr/60000mile factory warranty. There are places on the internet that will save you hundreds of not thousands on a Ford warranty.

Just curious, when did you order? I ordered on 9/8. 0.9% available now for 36 months only; I'd prefer that rate for 60 months (who wouldn't?). Thanks.

They had 0.9% for 60 months and $500 back in October.

Make sure they have installed the dealer installed options that are on your window sticker, like the fender flares, roof rails, etc. And if there is anything they have not provided to you, but promise they will get a "We-owe" document that itemizes those things.

Well, I am not in for any money yet. If I don't have the great and powerful engine cover I will just take my money elsewhere. Its non negotiable.

Lots of good things to look out for in this thread. Thanks to all who replied :)

LMAO great and powerful... It's window dressing, zero functionality. People who claim it dampers sound, very little on a tiny turbo engine. Besides BL is pumping artificial engine sound in thru speakers, so thats gonna be what you hear anyway. But to only buy it cause it has it, that's just ridiculous! You either want a BS or not an engine cover should not be a deal breaker.

Happy Holidays to all, I hope you all get engine covers for the holidays, so you can keep driving around! ?

Nada. It is a gushy piece of plastic that gets in the way of working on the engine or seeing it. IMHO. Cars existed forever without them until someone probably whined about the engine not looking pretty once engine sensor wires started lmaking engines look like a spaghetti factory.

Ford does not need to put eng covers on the 1.5s right now because every one that lands on a dealer lot gets sold. Now one day in the future when sports sit on lots and consumers go from dealer to dealer to decide what to buy they might put covers back on for appearance purposes.
