Is there one option that you think is a useless one?

I'll probably get flamed for this.

I find the rear hatch opening window useless because of the size of the actual opening. I would prefer a non-opening window that had a better field of view (even just not having the big bump for the latch assembly).

To be honest, I'm surprised it wasn't one of the first things that got axed to cut costs.

I don't know why anyone would get flamed for having an opinion on this topic. Disagreement, yes. Flamed? Why?

Speaking of disagree, I like the window for those times where you may have to load loose, rolling items in the cargo area. You can open the window and check to make sure nothing is going to fall on your feet when you open the liftgate.

See, no flame. Just a different opinion. Cheers!

I see using the bottle opener when camping or after a ride on the ole mountain bike. For me its the phone pouch on the passenger seat, my phone has been in a silicone style case for years and it is a pain to get in and out.
I put an emergency glass breaker/ seatbelt cutter in that pocket. It fits in nice and snug and should stay put through a roll over.

  • GOAT modes ... way too many and I have yet to see a definitive video that demonstrates the utility of them. I can see theoretical conversations about what the modes are meant to do, but a scant few that demonstrate practical application of them.
Gotta disagree here. The GOATs are very useful for me. Mud/Ruts, Sand, and Rock Crawl, anyway. I dont think of them by their names, really; but it's the 3 primary combinations of offroad functionality at my fingertips and on the fly.

1) Sand = 4WD, but neither 'locker' engaged. Extra wheel spin allowed, so it's great for fresh, un-rutted mud also.

2) Mud/Ruts: 4WD + front/rear locker engaged. Front can pull the back out, or vice-versa; but plenty of wheel spin allowed right<-->left for keeping momentum in the slop.

3) Rock Crawl: 4WD + both 'lockers' engaged. Almost no wheelspin at all. Say what you want about these not being 'real' lockers, but the free wheel(s) stop very quickly.
I've been up on 2 and 3 wheels several times in the month I've had this lil ute, and it performs much better than even some of the true lockers I've driven. The vehicle's control when it's got a shoe or two off the ground is kinda freaky, actually. I got up on front driver/rear passenger Sunday, stopped and hung in the air for a few seconds, rolled back, then forward a few times without slipping or putting a shoe down. Not a lot of rigs out there can do that, especially considering that I'm not a great driver.

Just my $0.02, but that's been my take on the GOATs

Useless feature

Molle Straps. Until I can fit an umbrella in one, they are just a stupid “feature”

Well, I'm not sure if you mean feature or option. I would call the bottle opener a feature.

If I had to pick the least useful feature I'd pick the door locks. No not the lock itself, or the lock button. I mean the tab that swings out automatically when you pull the door handle. Can you even push it in to lock the door? I never tried. Runner up, the pencil holder in the console. Every other feature is probably a benefit to someone even if not me. I actually use the pencil holder, but without real purpose.

I would say the least useful option Ford sells is either the assistance kit or the graphics package. I mean, the assistance kit is useful if you need something in it, but you don't need to pay the Ford price for the $20 of stuff in it. I can put together a much better kit for $80. The graphics package is probably the more egregiously overpriced item, but maybe someone really digs the factory graphic. I guess every option is probably nice for someone.
Where is the pencil holder in the console?

NM. See it now in a previous post. Didn’t even know it was there.

Get a “D” ring (99¢ Store/Dollar Tree) hook it in mole strap and hook umbrella to it (collapsible umbrella with little cord on handle). Works great — ask me how I know.

I feel cheated! What is this slot even for?

Looks like you got cheated by the Ford Decontenting fairy. He took your fuse cover, hood insulator, folding headrests, engine cover, ignition light, WiFi modem, temperature knobs... and now, he took your pencil holder too! What a cad!

I'll give you this much, that empty slot option is a lot less useful than the pencil holder.

I know one useless feature I could do without......beating the dead horse for the 4Hundredth time...or rather the tinyest details of some insignificant BS (not the Bronco Sport).

I'd much rather hear about the details of installing stuff or work arounds on mods....or cool accessories and the issues with installing them......hidden features.... or what cool places you guys and gals have taken your BS (Bronco Sport).

Just sayin!

Some people prefer to use the SYNC interface rather than AA or CP. That generally applies only to those with factory navigation.
I'm in that camp.

But my wife thinks the SYNC navigation is not as good as Apple Car Play / Google Maps.

I think she might be right.

The SYNC navigation isn't wrong, per se, but it doesn't seem to give enough advance notification of important decisions.
