For the record, I did not invest in it, but always like to read on engine technology.

I've been watching this company with interest. The engine is lightweight, compact, and powerful, which is why it's generating so much interest in the aviation community. A compression-ignition (diesel) variant of this engine would make general aviation (think small plane) tremendously more accessible. Most piston aviation engines run on AvGas, which is extremely rare outside of the USA. A compression ignition engine can run on Jet A, diesel fuel, or even kerosene.

Here's a better link (goes to product info rather than investor page).

But is it going to be like the Mazda Wankel and crash and burn?
It operates on the same principle as a Wankel, but with completely different functionality. The new design (purportedly) addresses all the weaknesses of the Wankel design.

If i recall correctly, it is NOT a Wankel rotary engine. Different tech involved to try and avoid the negatives that were inherent in the Wankel design.

Got to watch the vids...they point out the differences between theirs and the Wankel. The father who designed this new rotary engine took ideas from the Wankel, but changed the combustion chamber design in his.

I like reading about an independent engineer designing and putting forth something like this.

Thanks for posting this. A lighter, more powerful engine would be ideal for boats, where every pound counts. I love to have one for my motorcycle too.
