you do realize that on the bronco sport/ford escape this isn't the method, we have a hidden cable inside the cabin, we don't need to go outside of the vehicle in our case with the 8 Speed AT

The hidden cable was removed in 2023 and newer models. A wire piece is included with the car that needs to be inserted in the top of the transmission. It's usually found in the center console or the glove box with the delivery of new vehicles. Good luck to owners and tow truck drivers who do not know what the wire bit is used for.

This is something that needs to be printed out and stored in those gimmicky zippered pockets on our cars. And don't misplace that neutral key!
