Again, coolant is NOT flammable. If coolant enters the combustion chamber it will serve to prevent combustion, not promote it. You can try it yourself. Start a fire in a trash can and pour coolant on it. What do you think will happen?

I've never heard of an engine fire caused by coolant entering the combustion chamber. If you have a documented example please share.
Coolant is flammable, at least the older glycol and polyethylene glycol forms.

Strictly speaking true. To the average person, whether something can catch on fire or not is the concern.

My post was responding to a very specific claim, that coolant leaking into a cylinder can cause an engine fire. In that case the difference between flammable and combustible is relevant. If there is enough heat in the metal of your engine to ignite the coolant then the fuel in the engine compartment would long since have ignited.

I'll take boring and reliable vs a good looking unreliable BS anyday ...
I'm with you my wifes 2021 BS BL has had continuing problems with the infotainment system black screen radio coming on by itself never did it while at the dealer so they can't fix it strange driveline noises they could never hear, and irritating interior raddles from almost day one. We traded for a Honda Passport Trailsport and what a difference with 11k on it since June NO interior raddles NO infotainment system problems and only back to the dealer for its free oil change. The Honda is light years ahead of Ford in quality and workmanship. For twenty plus years I was a Ford only guy but the 2021 BS was my last.

Understand. I am not brand loyal as I've stated over numerous topics on this forum.

Over the last 11 years I have owned 4 Fords. 3 Escapes and the BS BL. For the most part very few problems. Also 2 German brands which have had no issues with so far.

Will my next vehicle be a Ford, don't know. I will be trading at some point and looking at other options. I like the BS's size, power and some of the standard features in 2025 vs my 2021.

If I was having numerous problems and dealer incompetence, I'd dump the BS, or any other vehicle like a hot potato.

I hope he didn't get the hybrid RAV4 there is worldwide Cablegate issue going on. Toyota was sued and still will for newer models.

Hybrid cable is 6000$ to fix!! And the 2025 still use the same connector location and galvanic corrosion will happen again!

Even worse the Mazda CX-50 hybrid use the same problematic Toyota system!!! Crazy!

My RAV4 is also much quitter than the Bronco Sport, no wind noise, the hood doesn't flex and look like it will blow off, no interior rattling, etc. ...

This is what a RAV4 hybrid cable looks like after 2 winter here in Canada.

They refused to fix that expensive design flaw and cost (6000$) was passed on customers until they went class action lawsuit.

RAV4 Hybrid / Prime MY 2019-2024 are affected with the bad cable...

4 Cable revision, the newer on the late MY 2024-2025 is looking better but still has an issue with the galvanic corrosion and road salt!
