I will say I have not had a smaller vehicle in years. Mostly F150's Explorer's and just got rid of a 250. I was like you on purchasing this for my needs. I currently have an F150 XL with the 2.7l with twin turbos, it has 300K+ miles on the clock so I don't worry about the turbos.

My wife and I just took a trip from TN to MO yesterday with some pluses and minuses for us. Again this is for our needs/ requirements and wants. Everyone is different

Plus
Gas Milage
Pep for a little 1.5L engine could get us out of spots pretty quick
Maneuverability
Road noise was not that bad
Interior room for packing stuff

Minus
Wind noise with 30 knot winds was more then we where used to
No room for my wife to stretch out. Remember we always had bigger interiors
The drivers seat to me, left my back sore no matter what I did so we made more stops

I am happy I bought it and will not get rid of it for awhile, for the longer road trips (cross country) I will take the Expedition only for the driver and passenger seat comfort. We are older and retired now and plan on driving around the rest of this country to see what we missed the first time.

I use Olympic scoring method when researching a product or service. throw out the high and low scores and look for / graph a common thread. Thewre have been known to be a few a$$holes out there!

I like Scotty but all one needs to do is read his YouTube video titles to see he makes outrageous claims as clickbait. How many times has he claimed he is getting sued or quitting youtube? Not that there aren’t useful nuggets; I just take his comments with a grain of salt.

He may not like em, and the BS may make some goofy noises from time to time but look at these forums almost everyone on here loves em, I know we love ours!

I love my Bronco too and yes goofy noises. You getting lots of click/rattle type sounds from the front driver side on light acceleration too?

The turbo has a nice high pitched whine, the growl at 13-15mph in the parking lot but looks fairly normal from the forums, a very minor albeit noticeable (since I know it's there) slight clunk from 3rd to 4th gear since they took out a gear from the GM tranny etc...as they say with houses...it has character.
Also what is light acceleration? The 2.0 has spunk and likes to GOOOOO
