Hi everyone,

I have been watching this forum since I placed my order for a BS BB back in November. I’m supposed to take delivery of it tomorrow but I’m on the fence about completing the process. Watching to many Scotty Kilmer videos and his dislike of all Fords produced in Mexico are making me a little worried about reliability issues. I own a Focus and dealt with the transmission issues until it finally got repair to were it was drivable . I would greatly appreciate any feedback from anyone that has had their BS for a while now.
I've had mine for 11 months to the day. 22500 miles. Chewbacca sings to me once in a while. I have no recalls listed for my Badlands. The *only* thing I needed to replace was the media hub, or USB ports. I. Love. My. Car. When was the last time anyone writes positive comments about cars? I mean ... seriously. Clearly not a Ford guy. Or Chevy, GMC, Mazda... you get the idea.

We have 7K trouble free miles on our OB. Even some mild off-roading. I am putting a Rough Country 1.5" lift on it this week. 255 55 18 tires fit just fine.

Same, about 7k here. Off-road including twice a distance through 12"+ of soupy mud and through the 15" snow we saw this winter, and a 3,000 road trip. It's a great ride. Had no issues with traversing mud and snow, but I did shift the GOAT mode every time. As for the reliability question, I always get an extended warranty with all the electronics today. But so far, not even a hint of an issue.

Other recommendations:
1) Turn off the delay on the headlights. Something used to keep running/buzzing up front after turning the engine off, until I did that.
2) Change the display to night mode all the time. Day mode is way too washed out. Night mode looks good even in the day.
3) I also put a K&N air filter element in it, as I do all my ICE vehicles. Seems to give it a little more growl when you hit the gas. I never expected engines in the 1.5L - 2.0L range to have this much HP, but my 2.0L is rated as having more power than my 1968 Cougar XR7 did with a 5.0L. So airflow is certainly important. Plus K&N filters are supposed to help the gas milage a tad too.

I bought mine brand new from the dealer two months ago and I have had no issues of any kind! I love my BS big bend and in case I want to sell it this is the best time to do it! The semiconductor crisis still on and it will stay there for at least another year. So get your car and enjoy it.

I know you have already taken possession of the vehicle at this point, but as someone who worries all the time about everything, I thought I would chime-in nonetheless.

Until I purchased my Big Bend a few months ago, I had been driving a 2012 Ford Focus SE since early 2013. For the majority of my ownership of that car, I called it the 2012 Ford Fiasco. For my first pass on this post, I wrote a long rant about the various issues I had with the Focus. However, I have discussed some of those issues before in other areas on this website, and I am guessing you already know many (if not all) of those sorts of gripes from your own ownership.

One thing I learned the hard way from the Focus was that in addition to checking out corporate review sites, random customer reviews online, etc., one should always find an active online forum of people who already own the vehicle. At that point, dig deep into those forums before making your purchase. In this regard, what I a saw for the BS was a night-and-day difference compared to what I saw on the Focus forums. No vehicle is perfect, but my goodness were Focus Forums just places of absolute terror and dread in regard to the transmission in particular. With that said, thanks to sites like this one, I went into my Big Bend purchase with a lot more confidence.

At around two months in, I have had no significant issues of note, and I have not yet had one moment of regret about buying my Big Bend. Especially if you are coming from a Focus, I think you are really going to enjoy driving your BS!

I've had my BS for a year now, 32,600 miles and no issues, maybe a little wind noise. I replaced the stock tires for some A/Ts and need to replace windshield soon due to road construction debris.

Enjoy your new Bronco Sport.

Stop watching the videos and get the BS. I've got a Bronco and the wife has a BS, we love them both!
Us too (and a second BS that my daughter has.) We all three agree, favorite vehicles we've ever owned (and my husband is a picky gearhead car guy.)

I have to say I have had 3 Toyota’s and they were junk (my brother was an executive with them), a KIA - junk and a Honda - junk. They all about bankrupted me with constant, expensive repairs. My current Ford Escape was the first Ford I ever owned and it has been the best car ever! No expensive repairs except when a chipmunk chewed some wires. Just routine maintenance. I am looking forward to getting home and driving my Bronco Badlands.

Thanks for the advice. I notice the buzzing noise also, I will definitely change the display to night mode, and I normally drop in K&N filters in my cars so that's on my list of things to do.
