I lied

In an earlier post I said I wasn’t taking my ‘23 Heritage to Moab.

I arrived in Moab this afternoon.

I therefor amend my previous assertion: I’m not going (rock crawling or doing Hells Revenge in) Moab.

I’m planning on a couple of days of easy trails and dispersed camping.

Recommend stopping by Off Rodeo base camp on Thursday or Friday and ask about local trails to do. But here is a short list of what I did
Chicken Corners
Hurrah Pass
Willow Spring Road - original road into Arches - no waiting in line.
There’s a spot to by and see fossil Dino tracks.

Chicken Corners? Heritage, not FE Badlands. I don’t want to have to walk back to Florida.

Just saw some of the dino tracks 3 weeks ago. They are about a mile down Mill Canyon Road (west of 191), South of the airport. Have to go down about a mile of dirt road, we saw motor homes towing SxS on trailers at the parking/camping area, ANY car can make it. Few hundred yards of walking from parking to tracks.

There are also dino tracks at Copper Canyon, also off 191, North of airport. Longer dirt road with a longer hike from trailhead. We did not do these, so no idea how long the hike is, or what road is like.

Have fun! Moab is awesome. Lot's of places to go without needed 40 inch tires.

We did Onion Creek just up the road from the Off-Roadeo in our OB. It was spectacular, I highly recomend it.

Hoping to get out to Moab 2024- April 29-May 04 for Bronco Safari week.
Last year I noticed the list of trails- some I had already done that week- so I might join them and shoot photos.
Seeing the looks on their faces is priceless. One guy asked if I had a "Badlands Plus" edition when passing on my way out of the Bull Canyon trail. "Nope- its 1st Ed..... lifted"
