Got my Sport First Edition at MSRP from the dealer here in SOCAL. Did all of the paperwork online, spent 10 minutes in the Finance dept. drove it home. I also didn't get the Cross Bars, but when I called the dealer they shipped them out the next day.

10 minutes? I saw online and knew I was buying it and it still took 4.5 hours total!!

Some dealers are more technology prepared than others I guess. I'm from Yorktown Va.

Not anymore. At 4K over MSRP. They (dealers) are getting away with marking them up cause market is willing to bear it apparently.

Sadly this isn't the case around the west side of Los Angeles area. Everything from Big Bend and up is marked up $5k or more ($7500-9500 on some First Editions). It's not listed either, it's on the window sticker at the dealer.

Sadly this isn't the case around the west side of Los Angeles area. Everything from Big Bend and up is marked up $5k or more ($7500-9500 on some First Editions). It's not listed either, it's on the window sticker at the dealer.

Same for some of the places around here. One dealer is marking up their FE $10K and their OB $5K. If they would have been willing to take MSRP, I would have taken an OB off their hands already.

Wow! I know the chip shortage is causing inventory levels to be very low. I am glad I found the same car I wanted in a different state for msrp. What area is the FE going for $10k over??

yeah the paper trail is still needed on some dealers and DMV i think.
