I went to Lowes and got replacement bolts for my Bronco. I was also missing the nut plate on the front skid. With a suggestion from a forum member I purchased a Rivet Nut tool from Amazon and installed it into the frame. Without it I would not have been able to install the aftermarket skid. The...
I purchased a riv nut tool and inserts. I had to drill out the hole in the frame, but was able to install an M8 insert and it worked. I would never had thought about it without your suggestion. Thank you!
The dealer said that the nut plate is internally welded to the boxed frame and cannot be repaired. So I will be tapping the hole with a 10mm tap and got a screw that will fit. Hope I will be able to remedy, otherwise I will have a useless skid plate I just bought.
Well I researched ford parts and see that it may be a nut plate, so I'm going to the ford dealer later to verify and get part if needed. Hopefully it is a clip on nut plate.
I just bought a skid plate for the front bumper. When I got it, I looked under the car and noticed the rear bolt on the driver side was missing. When I put a bolt in the hole I discovered the nut plate is not present. Would this be a warranty repair or should I try and tap the hole to fit a...
Update: more damage discovered. A used headlight $1100. A/C condensor, fog light, skid plate, tow hook $195 only scratched not bent. Total now $5,600 to repair. The headlight and fog light still worked and did not appear to be out of adjustment. I'm asking for these parts to be returned to me...
I was riding in the desert, turned onto a dirt road to turn around and while backing, the passenger front dropped into a washout ditch after recent rain. The ground looked solid but had washed out below. The entire wheel entered the ditch but I was able to back out. There is obvious damage but...
My very first upgrade was tinting the driver and passenger windows to match the other windows. Makes it look better not to mention the blinding sunlight that it cuts down on.
Looks like you did the same thing I did back in February. I got lucky when a special order cancelled and got a First Edition. I've been on a few easy trails and it has been wonderful.
The angle of the windshield. I think it may be tilted less than a standard car windshield. I noticed a reflection on other cars, not just the reflective taillights.
Got my FE at MSRP in April. I Feel like I was lucky. The internet manager was super friendly. Did all the financing online and only spent 10 minutes in the finance office and was done. Fastest and easiest vehicle purchase I have ever done in my life, and I have purchased about 10 cars from...
I just picked up my accessories from the dealer. The first aid kit designed to work on the Molle straps, lots of other things that you can do too is anything you want to place a carabiner on will work too. It would get in the way of you have rear passengers.
Yea, Sport Mode makes a big difference in the way it drives. I traded in a Focus ST with basically the same motor and I am impressed. But I don't do Sport Mode much. You have the 3 year 36K mile warranty, if something happens it should be covered.
