Now I’m in a three banger, LoL
And happy.
But I remember.
Your a better man than me. My wife has a HRV with a CV transmission and I just hate it. This was my first DD with an automatic. It’s not bad but it’s not the Lightning nor was I expecting it to be although the HP is actually more. But you can’t beat a V8 in my opinion except for gas mileage.

I also was checking the sport mode for the piped in V8 sound as reported on this forum. I couldn’t hear it but I’ve driven V8’s for a long time and never a Prius so perhaps my idea of what a V8 should sound like is different than others or perhaps my hearing sucks and it’s not a headered V8!
I don't believe the engine sound enhancement system was ever meant to make the 2.0L sound like a V8. I base this on comments from the 6th generation Mustang chief engineer, Dave Pericak, about the system as implemented in the Mustang. According to Pericak, "With the EcoBoost engine we have both active noise cancellation and we also amplify the existing engine sound order. We don't create an artificial sound; we don't pluck one off the shelf; we bring in the real sound, process it, and play it through the car's speakers."

One of the signature features of the EcoBoost engine design is integrating the exhaust manifold into the head. This is great for mitigating turbo lag because it reduces the volume of space between the exhaust valves and the turbocharger that must be pressurized to spin up the turbine wheel. But it's bad for making cool engine noises. In fact, the noises an unmuffled EcoBoost engine makes are decidedly NOT cool.

I wonder if there is something wrong with mine...

Since I bought my BSBB brand new in January, I've been getting about 13-14 mpg in the city. I have been mostly in Eco mode, sometimes Slippery when the roads are icy or snowy.

I did get 23 mpg, but that time included a 5 hour road trip on an open highway...

Obviously gas is expensive so using eco mode makes sense, but how much of a difference does it make? I've been poking around reading about it and haven't really found any good estimations. My current understanding is that it is engine mapping and reduces throttle, is that it?

Does it make an appreciable MPG difference?
I always thought it was primarily for long flat runs, like driving up I95 from Miami to Savanah.

It’s winter. Vehicles typically don’t see as good of mileage in the winter as they do in the summer.

13-14 mpg in the City and 23 mpg on the Highway even in the cold weather that's very low IMO I got 24-25 mpg with the one I had in the cold weather and well over 30 mpg on a Highway Trip.

I’m averaging 15-16mpg in town right now.

I also let me vehicle idle and warm up a few minutes before I drive it, because nobody wants to hop in a car with an interior temperature of 30° F. 🤣

I just took a 65 mile drive and averaged 26mpg. I’ll call that tolerable when my truck gets 16 on the highway and 11 in town.

But You don't have the 1.5 EB 4 cylinder like He has in His BS BB You have the 2.0 EB 4 cylinder. And you're getting better mileage than Him.

Logically speaking, a smaller engine has to work harder to get a 4,000 pound vehicle in motion. It makes sense.

I have a '25 BSBB as well. On a highway road trip a couple of months ago I got 35mpg in Eco mode. The BS is my daily driver, and I regularly get 27-30mpg in mixed driving mostly in Eco mode. I always fill up with 91 or 93 octane fuel. Even in the middle of winter, when temps were below 0, I was getting 27mpg even using remote start.
