Lol, it’s the double honk I get when I leave the car running and get out to pick up the mail.I usually just turn up the stereo and give the dude honking at me the finger. Your mileage may vary.
What specific "alerts" are you referring to?
Ah, that. It's a quick and easy settings change in Forscan, if you have the ability or know someone who does. Otherwise, your dealer can make the tweak on your next visit.Lol, it’s the double honk I get when I leave the car running and get out to pick up the mail.
Search YouTube using "Forscan double honk" and you'll find several videos demonstrating how to remove the double honk when exiting the vehicle with the engine running. Most are for the F150 but the procedure is the same.Lol, it’s the double honk I get when I leave the car running and get out to pick up the mail.
Don't lock the door before exiting with the fob inside. Close the door then press the bottom two numbers on the keypad to lock the door. Will this also work if I intentionally lock my keys inside? I leave my keys hidden inside and use the key code when I return. It forces itself to unlock and honks twice reminding me that the keys are inside.
My response to it unlocking itself and honking is always. “I know, shut up!”
I’d like to avoid drawing attention to myself when intentionally locking my keys inside.
Hi there! I can look into your Bronco's concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Bronco's VIN?That honking alert sound is very annoying
Leave the key fob in the Vehicle. Someone could steal it anyway with the fob in your pocket. That honking alert sound is very annoying
The ONLY way to lock the car with the key inside is by pressing the bottom two buttons on the keypad at the the same time, and it doesn't honk. If you lock your car when you get out and shut the door, it automatically unlocks and beeps. Will this also work if I intentionally lock my keys inside? Just turn it off when you hop out ,back on when you hop back in. Or leave the fob in the car. The honk is a safety feature. It's meant to alert you that you left the car running. This is a problem if you park in an attached garage. There have been cases where people forget to shut their car off and have died from carbon monoxide getting into the house from the garage. Yes, annoying, but as I get older I can see that happening. Hell I'll walk into a room and forget why I went in there LOL!Lol, it’s the double honk I get when I leave the car running and get out to pick up the mail.
I believe you can also lock it with the fob inside using the Ford pass app.The ONLY way to lock the car with the key inside is by pressing the bottom two buttons on the keypad
Try this and let us know if it solves the double honk for the scenario you described:Lol, it’s the double honk I get when I leave the car running and get out to pick up the mail.
I tried it. Using the key fob wont work as I thought, but you can lock and unlock with the fob inside the car using the Ford Pass App. Also with the key fob inside you can remote start with the App.Haven't tried that, you may be right .
