Noticed some hood vibration or flapping before when driving at around 70 mph, but nothing like today, I thought my hood was going to braek in half and fly off. Ford installed a bug deflector yesterday and today while going down the interstate I have never seen anything like it, bounce bounce bounce bounce (in the middle of the hood). I looked on another forum and read some posts that the bug deflector makes it worse and it does

.

Called Dealership taking back in, they checked their system and no one has reported it (hard for me to believe) and no bulletins on it. I did see one post where a guy attached a hose to the hood and it resolved the issue. Ford said they will look at it but only thing they can do is take deflector off, uggh. Anyone else experience this? Hoping I can return the deflector.

Update as of may 4 - posted video - we adjusted the hood stoppers and it helped some, still movement but nothing like it was the other day

Considering getting the Hood Scoop so I don't see the bounce or glare, or a matte black decal, my father did mention to get the hood sprayed underneath with a sound dampening spray, since the top middle part is s0 flexible and just a crap design on Fords part.

I have also heard of complaints about hood vibrating and wind noise. That is why I would not put one on my vehicle. I have 3000 miles on my BB all hiway with no chips as I do not tailgate. I think a lot of people put these on for looks and are mall crawlers

My 2023 Big Bend vibrates but no noise. Its not a deal breaker for me. No that bad for me. Of course I installed mine. Not that that should be a different.

My F250’s hood flexes and looks like it would fly off. It only happens over 70 with head winds. I have not seen the hood flex on the BS…. Yet.

I have no deflector and 250 miles on a Big Bend. I'm seeing some minor bouncing/flexing in the center near the windshield.

Normal. because it’s a flat hood and you see more of the surface area, it’s more noticeable. Gusty winds and high speed add to it.

I installed Redline hood struts, and I don't know if that makes any difference. Running the interstate at 70 or 75 my hood seems fine. Interestingly though, I do get a little bit of vibration from the high-power blowers that dry off the car at the end of the car wash I go to (Delta Sonic).

I have one on my 2023, and have yet to drive it on the highway after its install. I need it to deflect the upcoming love bug season we have in Florida (May and September). These bugs are nasty. They stick to the paint and windshield, and if not washed off, they can pit the paint.

Have not noticed any difference with or without the struts.

Mine really flaps when going through the drying area of my local car wash. High speed air can really make it go.
