2021 Big Bend Bronco Sport 2025 Maverick XL AWD
Hello all, I hope everybody is having a good Spring thus far. I own a Ford Maverick that I love and my mother owns a Bronco Sport. My mom being 80 loves here Bronco Sport and I have been tasked with making sure it runs as well as it can. So far so good on that front. I finished installing some hood struts on my Maverick on Friday and I got a cheap set from Amazon.com from the seller and or company I don't remember, because it been so long ago back in Dec. The struts I got my Maverick didn't fit correctly (big shock there) so I spent the time on Friday to mod the attachment hole on each of the brackets that attach to the hood and it works great, but it work I don't want to have to repeat if I don't have to on my mom Bronco Sport. I am looking for a good set of struts or at least some good options to pick from in that regard. I am looking for struts that don't require to remove both bolts that hold the hood onto the hinge. That is main reason along with price I got the ones I did. I didn't want to take a chance to mess my hood and even though I had to make some mods the hood struts do work now so if you all can help me out would be great

Thanks,
Eric

Many people here have used Redline struts, there are a few threads here that discuss the install
Redline all the way. They may seem on the expensive side compared to others, but they’re well engineered, install without fuss in a few minutes, and are absolutely trouble-free. Buy once, cry once.

I picked up my set of struts off of temu for $43 cad. Zero issues with my install. You don't need to remove any Hood bolts to install them on the Bronco sport. One of the ball mounts literally clamps around a flat bracket down at the bottom near your fender and the other ball mount goes into a hole in the top of your hood, then you just press your ends of the strut onto each ball mount you'll need to lift your hood a little bit higher than the OEM prop Rod holds it while you press the second end of your hood strut into place. The nice thing is one Hood strut will hold your hood up by itself while you press your second into place on the ball mount. The whole install takes barely over 5 minutes. I installed mine in the middle of a parking lot in the winter and it was like a 5-minute job.

I these and am satisfied. They mount to existing holes. Don't need to remove anything existing.

Got these for my 2025 BSBL: BESTAOO Front Hood Lift Supports... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09T2F53X3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Easy install. Work great.

I bought the same ones, and they are perfect.
that's 3 members who have the BESTAOO Hood Struts and like them, so I'm going to go that way. Was eyeing the redline but at half the price, i can grab these sooner... thanks all!

I'll stick with the stock hood prop, works every time, not a big deal and use the fifty bucks for something else.
My thoughts exactly. I put a pair of Red Lines on my 2021 CX5 Sig, smiled at how slick they worked, and realized they made no practical difference for my use. Wants vs needs, I guess. Live and learn.
