Help - Display Won’t Stay in Dark Mode

For months this was not a problem. I set it and it has been fine.
All the sudden, every time I start up it goes to auto mode and I have to go to display and set to dark (night) mode again.
It appears other Fords have the same issue. But I can't figure out what happened and how to get it to stay in night mode.

I use dark mode all the time with no issues. I do have the latest update.

Fastest and most reliable way is to use this Ford website, provide your VIN and provide your own properly formatted USB Drive. The instructions are posted on the Ford website and are super easy to follow:

The website will also let you know if your software is already up-to-date but some owners have found that to be somewhat unreliable information.

So I did the automatic update which was quite fast and now it appears to be staying in night mode.
Time will tell. I'll check back in in a few days and let you know.

Well, not sure what u did bc the update over WiFi is always quite slow but it’s possible that 23188 was pushed to your vehicle over WiFi and was just in the final step of getting made active.

Look at your sync display under settings and find the menu item that says something like sync versions. On that settings screen, which sync version is shown as the currently installed version?

I never turned on auto update since I bought vehicle 6 months ago. I used the Wifi booster to connect and I'm up to date now.

Went out and tried again and display is in dark mode as wanted - and - the version you mentioned, is up to date and current. Software Version: 3.4 Build 23188 PRODUCT
So thanks for the help and that annoying issue resolved

Now I need to check the other Bronco and see if it is up to date and has auto update checked.

Well today back to Auto.
Even "Automatic Systems Updates" turned itself off.
Very frustrating since it has been flawless for months.
