When we ordered our Badlands in late January the GM of the dealership told us that there was no way we could get a Badlands with the 2.0 because he had driven one and they didn't come with it. They also told us it was no way we could get 0 percent financing. He was wrong about both. I kinda understand because they were so new.

Does mounting the plate holder require drilling the bumper?

They are supposed to be pop riveted to the front bumper. I just installed ours since we purchased it in NC that doesn't require a front plate & we live in Virginia that requires a front plate. I used screws to mount our plate bracket. If you look closely at the front bumper there are 2 little dimples where the 2 upper screws/pop rivets attach. I drilled 2 very small holes at the dimples, held the license plate bracket to the bumper & installed the screws. Then once the 2 upper ones were tight I drilled a 3rd hole (middle lower) & installed the 3rd screw. Now all we need are our plates.

WHOA! You know it's illegal in all 50 states to drill that 3rd hole don't you!?

When drilling the bumper did you hit metal? Or is it just through the plastic and into foam?

Yeah, there is no foam behind it. Just a plastic 'accordion' -looking piece, then the actual metal bumper.

If I was just mounting lights do you think I would be able to mount a bracket with nuts and bolts through the bumper cover to metal then?
